About Me

Hi I am Sophie, I am 31 and live with my boyfriend on our family farm in a village close to Somerton.
I am energetic and have a friendly outgoing personality. I feel my sense of humour and confidence is always appreciated by people and children. I have a caring nature and work well within a team or independently.

With more than 7 years experience in a variety of childcare positions, I feel that I provide a safe and fun environment whilst giving love and care to children of all ages. I take pride in being responsible and reliable, with a caring and calm personality which is always appreciated by children. As well as my childcare background, I have further experience with various household responsibilities, including cooking, cleaning, keeping the house tidy and in order, transportation and errand-running. With that in mind, along with my positive attitude and friendly nature, would position me to excel back being a Nanny again.

I worked for a family and cared for their two girls as a live out Nanny, however often staying overnight if needed or whilst parents worked abroad for a few days at a time.

Over the years I have house-sat in my local area to where I live, whether it is a weekend or for a couple weeks at a time. Included in the house-sitting is doing school runs for children at secondary school, cooking meals for them and looking after pets. A family close to where I live, I have house-sat for them multiple times now. They went on holiday and left me in charge of their small holding, meaning I had to care for sheep, horses, chickens, dogs, cats and even pigs that are used for breeding. I thrive from new challenges and learning, taking pride in the trust people have in me leaving me in their home with such big responsibilities.

I am a very active person and spend as much time as possible outdoors, mainly going on long walks with my dog. I love being around all animals so I would be more than happy with a family with pets or who live on a farm.
I love encouraging children to use their imaginations, be creative and supporting them to develop. Children in my company will get stuck in to anything and never be scared to get their hands dirty!

The last couple of years has made me realise how much I miss working with children, and I am very eager to find a family to work with again. Me and my partner also really want to move to the coast, Lyme Regis is very special to us, therefore that direction is our aim.
