I believe in a setting that children feel at home, a setting where they want to run in and never leave.
I have been a childminder over 7+ years now.
I have 2 children of my own and have been raised in a childcare environment since I was 3 due to my mother also being a successful childminder. We both childmind from the same setting so you almost get 2 for 1 but we are registered separately and have some availability to cover each other when needed e.g sickness, holidays etc which can be beneficial for parents if needed.
I love my job and enjoy going out and about with the children e.g drop ins, parks, woodland walks, feed ducks, arts and crafts, science centre , marwell, Paultons park, soft play areas, longdown/manor farm, monkey world. Lepe beach, Victoria country park, moors valley. Come rain or shine we will always endeavour to go out if the waterproofs are provided.
My goal is to ensure this setting will provide a home like atmosphere, enabling me to make close bonds with Both parents and children. Always finding new ways and chances to explore in a fair, fun and family suitable setting.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 7+ years. I have also previously volunteered and worked at pre-schools and nurseries.
I have worked with children from 4 weeks old to 9 years old.
I have first aid, safeguarding, food hygiene and health and safety training.
I offer the 30 free hours childcare for 3 and 4 year olds and also the eligible 2 year olds. I also accept tax free childcare vouchers/payments
My Qualifications
I hold an NVQ level 3 in childcare and home based childcare.
I hold an up to date:
First aid certificate.
Health and safety certificate
Food hygiene certificate and we also have the food standards agency visit and have a food hygiene grade 5
I hold a DBS check
I also undertake regular training to keep up to date with relevant changes.
My Availability
I work Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00/17:30.
I do not offer overnight or weekend care.
