I am a qualified primary school teacher and an Ofsted registered childminder with over 16 years of experience working within Early Years and Key stage 1.
I have always worked with children and couldn't have a greater passion in life; I don't see my role as a job, instead I see it as an opportunity to open up the eyes of little ones and give them an enhanced ability to interact, engage and respond to the magical world around. I was very fortunate to have a fantastic childhood filled with lots of open-ended play and countless chances to explore and use my imagination - I truly believe that this is one of the best ways to learn.
In August 2016, I was blessed with my own little one - something that I have always dreamt about. Our little boy joined my little family who is made up of my supportive husband, Jamie and our mischievous yet loving cat, Gizmo.
I always knew in my heart of hearts that when I became a mummy I didn't want to go back to teaching full-time; I'd always contemplated childminding as a possible option. But after having Theo my decision and vision became simplistically clear - Since September 2017, I have only returned to my school children for 1 day a week (Fridays) and I am now a 'stay at home' mummy for Theo as well as welcoming other little ones into my home to cherish and love whilst their mummy's and daddy's work for their greater good.
So there it is - my offering - a home from home experience and an opportunity for your little one to be nurtured and loved; enabling them to flourish and grow in mind, spirit and confidence throughout their precious early years.
I am also offering before and after school care and drop-offs/pick-ups for children up to the age of 8 too. With an experienced knowledge of the curriculum and an understanding of pastoral needs beyond the classroom, older children will love my setting equally, if not more, than the under 5's!!
After graduating from university I began my career as an Early Years Leader in the pre-school room of a Day Nursery.
From there I took a leap into my teaching career at Dair House School, Farnham Royal.
Here I have remained due to my absolute love of what our school provides - a unique and homely atmosphere full of joy and love. Also, because the staff, parents and, more importantly, the children at Dair House have become my second family.
I have vast experience (15years) of teaching Years 1 & 2, with a very close working relationship with the nursery and reception teachers; this is to fully ensure and enable a smooth transition through from the EYFS to Key Stage 1.
I am Head of Art, teaching Art to all of Key Stage 2 on Fridays.
I became an Ofsted registered childminder in September 2017.
BA (Hons) Primary Education QTS with a specialism in Art.

I undertake regular training courses, seminars and webinars to keep my training and qualifications fully up to date.

Sarah is amazing with our little monkey. She was our first appointment and we didn’t need to meet others. The setting is really nice clean and tidy (I don’t know how she does that) she helps a lot with child development and have amazing communication with parents. She is caring and never tired even if our little monkey would be more than the average upset. Sarah and her husband have an amazing warm smile that makes you feel like home and being a part of the family. Exactly what you need for your child.
Quinn has been with Sarah since December. He instantly found himself at home in her lovely and very well thought through setting. Their days are filled with structured and free play, have plenty of garden time and are regularly out and about exploring the world. I absolutely recommend Sarah to anyone needing childcare where you don’t want to worry about the happiness of your child. I wish my days were as fun as theirs!
