My Experience
Since qualifying in 2016 as an Early Years Practitioner, I have worked in various different roles within the sector. Most recently, I have undertaken the challenge of being a lead practitioner in two busy nursery settings. I have worked with a wide age range of children and really cherish those first early years. I have also worked with adults with additional needs as well as young adults from non traditional backgrounds wishing to enter high demand careers. During my various roles however, I have also undertaken laundry, cooking and general cleaning duties and doing so under the instruction of families.
I believe my experience highlights my commitment to getting the best outcomes for all and how much I really value high quality care and learning.
My Qualifications
As well as an SQV 3 Children and Young People (which I gained whilst completing an apprenticeship in a Private Nursery) I also hold a First Class Honours degree in Community Education. During completing my degree, I learned about the importance of family, community and respect and take those beliefs with me in everything I do. I consolidated these beliefs when I undertook a certificated course with the University of Edinburgh called ‘Froebel and Childhood Practice’.
My Availability
My below availability are the hours I can consistently commit to (out with pre planned holidays). However, I am open to helping out more on adhoc basis.
