About Me
I am a very experienced Childminder and Early Years Teacher. I work together with my husband Martin. We have four children of our own from ages 18 to 32. We have dogs, cats and guinea pigs in our setting. We feel that animals offer a great deal to young children. We try to offer the children interesting and exciting play opportunities in all areas of learning, with a mix of child led and adult led activities. We love to learn outside, we have a beach hut and we enjoy going on outings with the children. We have built strong relationships with our current families and we look forward to your family joining ours.
My Experience
I am a very experienced Early Years Teacher, I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have been childminding for over ten years. I have always been around young children, looking after my own, babysitting for friends and caring for my younger sisters.I am a fully qualified childminder with a current paediatric first aid qualification.I am familiar with baby led weaning and I am happy to help with weaning your child. I use baby signing to help me to communicate with your baby. I encourage a healthy lifestyle, with lots of fresh air. I update my skills regularly with relevant training. I am also a qualified sleep consultant and can give advice on sleep issues. Martin also has a current paediatric first aid certificate, has completed safeguarding training and updates his professional development with courses and reading.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Education and History, I have completed the childminding course in 2009 and in 2011. I have a valid paediatric First Aid certificate. I have completed a safeguarding course and a food hygiene course. I have completed a baby signing course. I have completed a level 5 sleep training course with merit. I complete regular training courses and I read childcare publications to keep me up to date with childcare and educational developments. Martin has a paediatric First Aid certificate.
My Availability
We have two spaces for Monday and Tuesday, one space on Wednesday and Thursday. We currently cover Cumberland infant school.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
£7 per hour. Outings and groups are included.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Craneswater Junior School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at St Swithun's Catholic Primary School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Southsea Infant School
