About Me

AWARDED “CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE “ BY CHILDCARE.CO.UK
I am a qualified OFSTED registered childminder with twenty enjoyable years of experience.
After completing all the compulsory training for childminding, I extended my knowledge and completed my Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce.

I am a warm, caring and dedicated Ofsted registered childminder, working from my home, with nearly two decades of experience supporting children and their families. Caring for children is not just my career – it is truly my passion and something I feel deeply privileged to do every day.

I have been a registered childminder since 2006 and have worked with children since the age of 17. My journey has included roles as a Nursery Nurse, Nanny, Behaviour Support Assistant and working within the Royal Free Hospital, where I supported new mothers and helped care for their newborn babies. These experiences have shaped the calm, patient and nurturing approach I bring into my setting today.

Before becoming a childminder, I spent 11 years in a local secondary school as a Behaviour Support Assistant, running a support unit for children who needed extra emotional care. This taught me how important it is for every child to feel understood, valued and safe. I carry this understanding into my childminding every day.

A Home From Home

My setting offers a genuine home-from-home environment, filled with warmth, reassurance and laughter. I want every child who comes through my door to feel loved, secure and confident, just as they would in their own home. I take the time to get to know each child individually – their personalities, interests, routines and comforts – so they always feel seen and supported.

I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and provide gentle, play-based learning through fun activities, creative play, outdoor experiences, stories and exploration. I observe each child’s development carefully and celebrate every milestone, big or small.

Creating Special Memories

I believe childhood should be full of joy, curiosity and happy memories. I love capturing special moments throughout the day (with parental permission) and sharing these with families. Children also receive their own profile book when they leave my setting, filled with memories of their journey, growth and achievements.

Working With Families

I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s care. I value open, honest communication with parents and work closely with families to ensure every child feels safe, settled and supported. My aim is for parents to feel reassured, confident and at ease, knowing their child is being cared for with kindness, patience and genuine affection.

My Experience

I have always worked with children from the age of 17, including full time Nursery Nurse, Nanny, behaviour support assistant and I also worked in the Royal Free hospital, helping new mothers look after their newborn babies. This included helping to bath, feed and change them.
I have been a registered childminder since 2006 and I absolutely love my job!

My Qualifications

I have Level 3 NVQ Diploma and all current up to date training/courses for childcare, such as First aid, safe guarding children etc.

Children thrive in a creative and developmentally-focused environment. The highly qualified childminder creates stimulating learning experiences based on children's interests, supporting early literacy and mathematical skills. Parents praise the engaging activities and care provided. While health and well-being are effectively promoted through outdoor play and healthy snacks, there is room for improvement in supporting children's home languages and encouraging self-help skills during daily routines.

Tracey is a wonderful and very experienced childminder. She has a lovely, clean setting, with a large garden, home away from home. She also has so many different themes of toys and activities, my son most definitely is never bored. She has such a lovely warm nature and very communicative throughout the day sending lots of photos. My son always goes in and comes home happy. The extra touches, like making a fuss of him on his 1st birthday were so thoughtful. Despite him mixing with a small number of children, the age range is great for my son’s development. I highly recommend Tracey to any parent looking for a warm and homely setting for their child.

Tracey is truly one of a kind. She cared for my daughter from 10 months to 2 years old, and my little one absolutely adored her. Sadly, we had to move out of London and find childcare closer to home—but our experience with Tracey set the bar so high that no one else quite compares. She’s warm, professional, and just exceptional at what she does. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone in search of a top-tier childminder. An absolute gem!

We moved to Barnet when my daughter was just under 2.5 years and I was quite anxious about resettling her as she’d been so happy in her previous setting, but I needn’t have worried! Tracey is so warm and welcoming and, despite the place being immaculate, she seemingly has an endless array of toys and activities to stimulate the children in her care. She has a broad experience of different age groups but plainly loves looking after little ones. She’s very receptive to the interests of the child – not just enthusing about favourite songs, etc. but also introducing helpful play about anything topical (when my daughter had a reluctant visit to the dentist for example, Tracey immediately set up play around dental care… today they’re applying suncream to the dolls!). Tracey sends regular photos of the children at play which is very reassuring. She has a lovely big garden with a tardis-like shed full of outdoor toys and apparatus, and they play outside when the weather allows - much to my child’s delight! There’s often an educational bent to activities but it always seems to be imbued with fun and my daughter goes into the setting enthusiastically and comes home merrily talking about Tracey and the other children... A happy child is all you want!
