At Mel Mel's Mini Treasures your little one can enjoy art/crafts/mark making/painting/learning numbers/colours/shapes/days of the week .. puzzles/shape sorting/playing in the home corner or relaxing with stories and nursery rhymes in the reading corner.. We visit local areas of interest .. parks/beach/farm/sealife centre/library/forest school and toddler groups .. We have lots of fun xx
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered Childminder for 19 years and a Private Nanny for 5 years .. I am based in Great Wakering and live with my husband Dave and daughter Grace.. Before becoming a childminder I was employed as a Special Educational Needs Assistant alongside the SENCo in a school. I have experience of working with children with ADHD, Dyslexia and Severe Challenging Behaviour.. my role also included working with small groups of children with speech and language difficulties.

Mel has been in our lives for nearly 10 years. She looked after our first daughter, and then seven years later our second too.
She is dedicated to development and education and provides regular feedback on things we can spend time on at home.
Mel is very active and ensures the children are outdoors as much as possible which I've always appreciated. Even on days when the weather isn't great her garden is fully equipped to let kids explore, play and learn.
My youngest has been with Mel since she was a few months old, and seeing how her care has adapted over the years has demonstrated the knowledge and dedication that you get with someone as experienced as Mel. In fact she does such a good job our daughter rarely wants to come home!

"We're absolutely thrilled with Mel, our little boy's cherished childminder! He attends every week and has a blast 😊. Mel takes the children on fantastic adventures - forest school, seafront explorations, and endless arts and crafts
We love how Mel tailors activities to each child's unique needs and interests. She's amazing with our son's allergies and eczema, always on top of his care . We love how she keeps us in the loop with daily diaries and fab photos.
Mel's kindness, care, and dedication shine through in everything she does. She's built a trusting bond with our little boy, and we're so grateful to have her. If you're looking for a nurturing and loving childminder, Mel is the one! 👍"

My daughter has been with Mel for over a year now and I am so pleased with the service she provides. My daughter is always excited to go in the mornings and we struggle to get her out at the end of the day!
Mel is a wonderful childminder, she’s kind, patient and very trustworthy.
Anyone who manages to get a space with Mel will be very lucky!
