About Me
I have two daughters, ages 14 and 13. I work part-time and we live in Newhaven. My 14 year old is learning disabled with autism; my 13 year old daughter is neurotypical. My daughters enjoy a range of activities, but especially music, art, dance and outdoor activities. My older daughter goes to a special needs school and my younger daughter to our local mainstream secondary.
My Requirements
I am looking for a nanny/childminder to look after my eldest daughter after school on Wednesdays and Thursdays 3-6pm, and Fridays approximately 12:00 - 6:00pm while I work. My younger daughter does not need supervision but will be at home too. Most of the care will be delivered from my home. Currently my daughter has transport to and from school, and so school pick-ups are not needed. The nanny needs to be at my home from 3pm and await my daughter coming home between about 3.20-3.30pm.
Special needs experience is necessary as my eldest daughter needs practical help with daily activities as well as support with her sensory issues and anxiety generally. She likes to check in with her carer very regularly when anxious and get all her snacks at routine/similar times (which I would give details for); in addition, both girls need given their tea before I am home.
My daughter benefits from a calm, clear and patient person who can take things at the right pace and stay aware of my daughter's tendency to be very uncertain and anxious over most things. On the flip side, she loves to sing and play and anyone with a love of music will certainly go down well :)
Some flexibility for holidays / evenings would be a bonus. A full driving licence is also appreciated. Thanks for your consideration and please do get in touch with me with any questions.
