I have completed a Level 3 childcare course and I have enjoyed gaining so much experience from having doing volunteering and placement. From doing my placement days I also gained a job as breakfast club supervisor this helped me learn how to work with parents and most importantly children; I definitely feel that these experiences have made me realise that working with children is what I love to do and think my personality is suited to any workplace/home that works with children.
Working within a school I have built good relationships with the children and now understand in more detail about child development, I also have the skills to observe and record children’s development accurately and confidently, plan appropriate activities and improve different environments to further children’s development.
I am used to working to Ofsted’s regulations and school procedures but please note I am not yet ofsted registered. I know how to carry out risk assessments, have knowledge of food hygiene and different food allergies to ensure the safety of the environment and children at all times. I have completed safeguarding, paediatric first aid, fire safety and food safety courses and so these will aid with keeping children and parents safe. I am also willing to further my own knowledge by doing more courses if necessary.
I have good time management, organisational skills and I am extremely flexible with working hours needed.
Please note: I am not yet ofsted registered as a home-childminder and do not drive so close proximity would be preferable. I would also prefer to care for children within there own homes as it is where they feel the safest and happiest.

I’ve known Amy for several years. As deputy head at ST Bede’s primary school, I have known Amy throughout her training as a teaching assistant. She is extremely hard working and lovely with the little ones.
Amy had recently baby sat for my 5 year old and 7 week old baby. Highly recommend.
