I am OFSTED registered
Looking for a part time nanny position from around December 2023/ Jan 2024

My Experience

From December 2021 to present I work in a full time Nanny share position caring for two, two year olds from different families, duties include daily nanny duties very similar to my previous nanny share position.
From October 2019 to September 2021 I worked in a full time nanny share position looking after two 2yr olds (now 3yrs old) for 40hrs per week 8am till 6pm in their own homes (2 days in each house). A usual week would include playing (lots), reading (lots), den building, arts and crafts, trips out to clubs, soft play, library, farms, seaside, parks etc, tidy up time, potty training, huggies and lots and lots of singing also preparing healthy meals and cleaning up after the little ones.
For the 9yrs before my current position I worked in a primary school as a Teaching assistant from nursery to year 6 and 1:1 providing support to children with SEN, ASD and challenging behaviour.
In 2016 I became an after school nanny alongside my Teaching Assistant position, I worked for three different families and loved it so much that I gave up my TA job to become a full time nanny
I have worked in childcare for 20 years and have experience with newborns to children 17years old. I am qualified to Level 3 and also have training in various areas such as pediatric first aid, positive handling, EYFS and STEPS literacy programme. Amy has looked after my daughter and my friend’s son as part of a nanny share for the last couple of years, and I honestly couldn’t have hoped for a better nanny.

She has a very gentle and patient manner and is completely unflappable, which has had a very calming effect on my daughter (who can be quite emotional/explosive at times!).

Amy gets out of the house with the kids every day, taking them to playgrounds, walks along the river, dance classes, museums, soft play, art classes etc. She’s very good at finding one-off events locally too. She genuinely seems to love hanging with the kids and often sends us funny pictures/anecdotes about what they have been up to.

Amy is also brilliant at craft activities, which my daughter loves. I wish I could post pictures of all the things she’s done with the kids in an afternoon, e.g. full-scale cafés out of an empty mattress box, an Elsa castle out of loo rolls and pipe cleaners.

The kids are 3 now so will be going to full time nursery next term and we will all be absolutely gutted to see her go, but know she will make a fabulous nanny for another lucky family.
