My Requirements

We are looking for an after school nanny or childminder to pick up and look after our fantastic little boy, Rory, for the summer term 2021 (week commencing 12 April until 16 July).

Rory is almost 4 and attends the Disability Challengers pre-school in Farnham from 9am to 3pm, term time only. We would ideally like to find someone who can commit to 3 afternoons per week, picking up Rory at 3pm in Farnham and looking after him until 6pm. There may also be more hours available in the summer holidays.

As this role requires picking Rory up from Farnham, we do need to find someone who can drive. In principle, we can provide use of a car but this would need to be discussed.

We are based in the West End of Aldershot and both work. We have two fluffy cats and a wonderful cleaner who comes every week during term time. At least one of us is likely to be working from home but we have an office at the top of the house so would try not to get in the way!

Rory has DiGeorge Syndrome, which is a genetic condition associated with a variety of health and developmental issues.

He has a global developmental delay and is non-verbal currently. He has support from SALT and OT and uses a combination of visuals, signing, gestures and vocalisations to communicate.

Rory is a cuddly, happy, energetic and generally awesome little boy - very smiley and interested in everything. We would love to find someone with an interest in working with children with additional needs, who can help to support Rory.

This would be a temporary contract for the next few months, so we appreciate that it may not be of interest to someone looking for more hours / job security.
