About Me
My name is Tania, I am 55 years old, I define myself as calm, respectful, organized, warm and with a lot of empathy, I really like to teach and care (it is my passion). I love to paint, do crafts ,do origami, among other activities (walk, play, swim).
I am very good at managing time, which has allowed me to coordinate the activities of the children very well without generating stress (getting up, having breakfast, going to school, playing, etc.).
Certified Jeremy Krauss practitioner and therapist. Specialization course to help children with developmental challenges, as well as being knowledgeable of other learning methods such as Maria Montessori and active learning space. This has given me a good understanding of child development and learning.
My Experience
I have worked with families as a nanny , with a company specialized in care and I have experience to look after children(20months to 12 years old) and adult with special needs too.
More than 6 years working with people with SEN in family and educational settings has helped me understand the importance of close communication between these two environments to jointly achieve positive outcomes with the student.
I have been working with PMLD students for more than 4 years, which has allowed me to specialise in physical and sensory needs and medication administration, I have learned to identify the difficulties they face and how to respond to their needs.
Completed several trainings relating to: learning strategies (PECS, TEACCH, Makaton, etc); legislation (Safeguarding, discrimination, etc); health (Manual handling, First Aid, VNS, epilepsy, dysphagia, peg, Ng, ); challenge behaviour management (SSTS) among others.
Certified Jeremy Krauss practitioner and therapist.: The central focus is on therapeutic learning process for helping special needs children develop and increase their abilities, it is a neurophysiological therapy that helps with the growth and development of the nervous system and muscular - skeletal system. The goal is that any child no matter what their developmental challenges are can make better use of their potential - physically, mentally and emotionally.
My Qualifications
First aid, care training, NG and PEG fed, transfers and mobilisation in wheelchair. I am JKA Practitioner and therapist (The JKA is a unique way of understanding early development and helping special needs children learn, grow and develop. JKA is solidly founded on the science of Neuroplasticity)
My Availability
I am very focused on the person. I like to understand it and know it in depth in order to help it improve or develop its skills.
