About Me
I am a married mother of two children Jessica (DOB 02.05.92) and Timothy (DOB 25.04.95) and have been living in Bury St Edmunds since November 1996. A safe, warm, caring home is provided.
I became a registered childminder with Suffolk County Council on 28.07.1997 after completing their approved registration course. I ensure my suitability and qualification to look after the children by keeping all relevant courses, memberships up to date.
I get together with a group of childminder each week which helps provide professional support to childminders and children alike. We meet at toddlers groups, parks, arrange craft sessions, visit childminders home, we plan / organise events / activities for the children and this creates an environment where friendships can be made amongst children. This also provides us with some back up cover for emergencies, holidays or occasional days off.
I like to work in partnership with parents, putting the welfare of the child first. I feel that I have an organised setting and this means that in all aspects of the care I offer children, from activities and learning, to planning and free-play, I am trying to bring out the best in the children I care for. I believe that the children can achieve independence, gain confidence, be given opportunities, try new challenges to encourage them to develop. I want the children to enjoy their time here ensuring equal opportunity for all to develop. I seek to provide a stable and sustained care programme for you and your child and aim to be as flexible as possible, to suit your needs.

I have been working as a registered childminder for the past 27 years.
My Qualifications
First hand experience-I have my own children who are now independent adults but still ask for advice etc. I ensure my suitability and qualification to look after the children by keeping all relevant courses, information, memberships up to date and now join in on childminding webinars.
