I am an experienced tutor based in Chalfont St Peter, specialising in preparation for the Buckinghamshire 11+ exam. I offer structured, face-to-face lessons for pupils in Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5.
Lessons take place in small, carefully structured groups, allowing each child to receive close attention while benefiting from a calm and focused learning environment.
Pupils I have prepared for the Buckinghamshire 11+ exam have achieved strong results in recent examinations.
I have over 20 years of teaching experience in both primary and secondary education and I am the author of nine educational books designed to support children's learning in English and Maths. All lessons are taught by me personally.
My aim is not only to develop strong academic foundations but also to build pupils’ confidence, resilience and independent learning skills. I am also certified in Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health, which helps me support pupils in a balanced and supportive way as they progress through their learning journey.
Lessons are held at:
Chalfont St Peter Community Library
The Hub, Chalfont St Peter
Most families join through personal recommendation from other parents and I am always happy to answer any questions about the courses I offer.
My Experience
I have over 20 years of teaching experience across both primary and secondary education. Throughout my career I have taught pupils with a wide range of abilities and learning needs, which has helped me develop a flexible and supportive teaching approach.
My focus is not only on academic progress but also on helping pupils build confidence, independence and resilience in their learning. I believe that children learn best when they feel supported and encouraged to challenge themselves.
During lessons I provide clear explanations, structured practice and regular feedback so that pupils can understand their progress and continue improving. Mistakes are treated as an important part of the learning process, helping pupils develop problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards learning.
I am passionate about helping children recognise their strengths and develop the skills they need to succeed both in school and in future academic challenges. My aim is to create a learning environment where pupils feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas and gradually building confidence in their abilities.
Alongside my teaching experience, I am also trained in Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health, which helps me support pupils in a balanced and encouraging way as they work towards their goals.
Because groups are intentionally small, I am able to give each pupil individual attention and adapt explanations to their learning style. This allows children to ask questions, build confidence and make steady progress while still benefiting from learning alongside a small group of peers.

I was astonished by the improvement my son had within one month of starting the lessons. Mrs Tatsi is well organised and passionate about her job. I will definitely choose her for my youngest son as well, if I feel that he needs support. Highly recommended tutor.
