Hello. I am an Ofsted registered childminder, based in Middleton Cheney, near Banbury. I live with my husband and two daughters.
I provide day care from birth to 5 years and after school and holiday care for ages 3 years and up. I provide a homely environment which is both stimulating and welcoming for all children.
I emphasize child initiated play, supporting where necessary, to help encourage children to become independent, confident and imaginative. Alongside this, I offer a vast range of adult initiated activities such as arts and crafts, cooking/baking, messy play, gardening, music, dance, stories and educational trips and outings. However these activities will always allow your child to be imaginative and creative in their own way.
I believe outdoor learning is so important and beneficial to both children's mental and physical well-being, therefore we spend time outdoors on a regular basis.
I provide opportunities for outings and these can include places such as;
Baby and toddler groups, museums, park, soft play, library, walks through the woods, forest school and plenty more.
My Experience
I have been working with children for the last 16 years, so have a vast range of experience in the sector.
This includes;
Working at a nursery (Where I also completed my Level 2 and 3 in Childcare and gained a secure understanding of the EYFS framework.), supporting after school clubs at a primary school, babysitting (age range 0-11 years), and teaching gymnastics to young children.
I have looked after friends children on a weekly basis, have experience with autistic children and of course all the experience that comes with being a childminder and a mother.
I am passionate and work hard to consistently improve outcomes and experiences for children. I undertake further training on a regular basis to ensure this is kept up to date so I can provide the best care for your child.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified childminder (Level 2 and 3). I have first aid certification and generalist and designated safeguarding lead certification. My husband and I both have an up to date, clean DBS check.
Further certifications include child protection; children's mental health; food safety and hygiene; food allergy awareness; equality and diversity; prevent duty; speech and language; outdoor learning; forest school and many others.
My Availability
I currently have a space available for Monday to Thursday care.
I also have school holiday care spaces for school aged children.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour

I accept all types of government funding for children that are eligible. I also accept the government tax free childcare.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Middleton Cheney Community Primary School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Chenderit School

Amanda was super sweet and did so well with our toddler. We had a date night and left her in charge of afternoon play, dinner and bed time routine which can be a tricky with the best of toddlers. She did a great job! She played with her outside and inside and got her to bed no trouble. Would use her again in a heartbeat if we didn’t move North.

We have both of our children with amanda and we couldnt be happier with the role she plays in their lives.
We are sent daily pictures and videos of the kids painting, playing in the park and on museum visits etc.
Being away from your kids is hard, for me the most important thing is they are happy, comfortable and safe. when I drop them off in the morning they are so excited to go and play it gives me a great confidence to know they are being well looked after.
We are sent regular updates on their progression and learning development and you can tell she is someone that really loves her job which tranalates to how the kids are being cared for.
