I am an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a range of childcare experience. I consider myself caring and kind and pride myself on the ability to provide a fun atmosphere for your children to grow and learn. I am very sporty, musical and creative so can mould to your child's current interests. In 2018 I graduated from Queen Margaret University with a Speech & Language Therapy Honours Degree, and so have a wide variety of training in the care and development of children of all ages. Following this I worked at the university as the students union Sports & Activities Coordinator. From a young age I have loved working with children and have been babysitting neighbours children and younger family members since I was sixteen. I am keen to connect with, not just children, but with families as a whole unit, I look forward to hopefully hearing from you soon!
My Experience
I have a wealth of previous childcare experience involving working with children of all ages. Through university I completed year long placements in nurseries, primary and secondary schools and schools for children with additional support needs. I have a strong background in the care of children with ASD and other additional support needs and have worked in three of Edinburgh's special schools, both through university placements and holiday clubs. I have also worked in after school clubs, as a kids coach at David Lloyd gyms and spent a summer teaching sailing and paddle-boarding to children (aged 3-16) at a summer camp in America. I have experience as a nanny & babysitter with children aged 8 months - 10 years old, where, in my most recent role I was responsible for the care of a seven year old girl and a three year old boy. Previously to this I also worked as a full time nanny with a family of five; two year old twin girls and their older brother aged four.
