About Us

Nestled in the village of Winkfield, Tiggywinkles is a small, bespoke pre-school that offers a child-centred approach to early years education. We have amazing, experienced staff who love their profession and cultivate a love of learning in a supportive, caring environment. The school is welcoming, safe and secure and children regularly have the opportunity to learn both in the classroom, within the school's outdoor grounds and further afield.

We understand that you have a wide variety of choice amongst many quality providers of pre-schools and nurseries. In the below, we try to outline why Tiggywinkles Pre-School may be the right choice and place for your child

Leadership and Staff - Post-Grad, Montessori, Early Years certified, experienced, nurturing and deeply caring
Curriculum - a learning-first environment, readying your child for primary education using both Montessori and traditional methods
EAL - there's a huge depth of experience in teaching children who have English as an additional language
Extra-curricular - languages, music, physical activities (e.g. Scrumys)
Pastoral - meeting the individual needs of each child whilst instilling a love of learning and a passion for life
Lunches - home-cooked and nutritious hot lunches are included in the fees for children who stay with us for four or more hours
Partnerships - strong and positive partnerships with schools in the local area, such as Meadowbrook, Lambrook and many local primary schools ensuring your child transitions with ease when it is time to move onto ‘big school’.
Safe and Secure - all staff are fully DBS checked, have Paediatric First Aid Level 3 and Child Safeguarding training
Funding - Accepting Childcare Vouchers, Tax-Free Childcare, subject to Bracknell Forest Council approval - Universal Entitlement and limited places for Extended Entitlement (subject to waiting list), 2 year old funding
