Experienced, patient and very amicable

We have been with Natasha for over a year now. Our first experience, was for the 11+ entrance exams. We were very happy with Natasha's approach to teaching. It is methodical, organised and in keeping with the child's age and understanding in mind. My child loved every session with Natasha and ofcourse the exam results were fantastic! Thank you Natasha for not just building her vocabulary but bringing out the best in her abilities!

Calm and passionate tutor

My son was tutored by Sheena for about 3 months in Year 4. He enjoyed his sessions with her and looked forward to attending lessons. Unfortunately due to personal commitments we were unable to pursue lessons for longer. I would definitely recommend Sheena. She was calm, patient and reassuring to both the child and parent.

Wish we found her sooner!

Sheena is a remarkable teacher my only regret is that I did not find her sooner! Around Nov last year it became clear that my daughter needed additional support in English if she was even to achieve a pass. With the changes to the GCSE grading structure her confidence had taken a knock following a succession of low grades in prep for the changes. She was struggling to get her head around English and had really started to dislike the subject. Her predicted grade at the time was a level 2, the equivalent of an E under the old structure and would mean a retake as the grade was below a level 4 (grade C).

We found Sheena following a search of local tutors. I was Immediately impressed by the way Sheena sort to understand exactly what my daughter’s needs were and what the specific barriers and challenges were to her learning. She clearly understood the changes to the GCSe grading framework and what the focus needed to be in order to increase her chances of securing a pass.  My daughter instantly took to her too! My understanding is that Sheena deals with a range of young people and in doing so has a great ability to connect with each child at their level. My daughter was 15 turning 16 at the time so a totally different approach to engage her was needed compared to a younger child.

What was great about Sheena is that she does not just teach she nurtures, building the confidence and self-belief needed. I actually felt she was working in partnership with me. At the end of each session she provided clear updates and strategies for improvement sharing them not just with me but with my daughter. She is patient understanding and I believe genuinely cares and is invested in each of the young people she supports. After meeting with her I decided to get additional tuition for my son to help secure the pass he needed in English as he was in his final year of A levels. Sheena again was brilliant totally flexible about how often he went to her, she was happy to be guided by him and not insistent he attended every week but more so when he felt he actually need the extra help. She was totally tuned in to the pressures of A ‘level study and had the insight and flexibility to make the learning centred around the young person.

7 months later we could not have been more elated, my daughter achieved a Grade 6 in English a high B
(a long way for the predicted Grade 2) which we totally attribute to the interventions and support by Sheena. I can’t help but wonder what she could have achieved if she had been working with Sheena sooner. If you’re looking for just a tutor there are ten a penny however if you at seeking a learning partner in your child's development, someone who will champion, encourage, believe in their capabilities and support them to get results beyond expectations then I cannot recommend Sheena enough. Sheena thank you so much, you were a great find and we are truly grateful for the commitment and belief you showed in both of our children but especially our daughter.

11+ English lesson

I approached Sheena at the beginning of January 2017. Sheena was very helpful as I was completely clueless of the 11+, she gave me advice, pointed me to the right direction with a reading list, books and taught my son English which has improved over the last 6 months.

Sheena is very passionate about her teaching and cares about her students.

I throughly recommend Sheena as a tutor.

One of the most engaging teachers my son has has

My son only started attending tuition with Sheena a few months before his 11+ exams. He enjoyed his lessons so much and the improvement in his comprehension and creative writing was unbelievable.
There is no doubt that he would not be able to achieve the success he did in his entrance exams without Sheena's help.
I think the fact that my son wanted to and did continue his classes with Sheena even after he had completed his exams says it all. My youngest son is now also being tutored by Sheena and is enjoying his lessons just as much as his brother.
We are very fortunate to have found Sheena when we did.

Excellent tutor

From the first time we met Sheena she put us all at ease, particularly my son. Every week he looked forward to his sessions with her and the change we saw in him was fantastic. Sheena helped him realise that he could do the work she gave him and in turn this gave him the confidence in his own ability which helped motivate him to learn more. He entered the Trinity 10plus exam and with the extra confidence and focus Sheena had taught/given him he went in with a big smile on his face and came out again with an even bigger grin. We were thrilled to hear he had passed and have no doubt that Sheena played a significant part in this. He was very disappointed when his sessions ended. We would recommend Sheena without any hesitation.

Fantastic results!

Sheena is a caring and effective tutor. My son loved his sessions with her. He did sessions in English and maths and managed to score in the top 5% for his English when sitting his 10+ entrance exams.

First Class Tutor

Natasha has been tutoring our daughter in English over the last year. We have seen a vast improvement in our daughter's English skills since Natasha started to tutor her. Having used other Tutors in the past we found Natasha to be excellent in comparison to the previous tutors. Our daughter was receiving 40% in her English tests and now she is receiving 75%. The improvement over such a short space of time is solely down to the fact that Natasha is a first class tutor. For this reason we have no hesitation in recommending Natasha to other parents. The only reason we stopped using Natasha was because we moved to another area of London. Thank you Natasha for all your help.
