About Me

Im Taryn, an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Hazlemere, offering a safe, caring and welcoming home-from-home environment where children can feel happy, secure and thrive.
I received GOOD grading in all areas on my Ofsted Inspection in 2025.

As a parent of two children myself, I understand how important it is to find childcare that is nurturing, reliable and supportive of each child’s individual needs.
I have over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. Before becoming an Ofsted Registered Childminder, I worked within the NHS Children’s Occupational Therapy Team for seven years, specialising in child development and supporting children in schools and early years settings. I worked closely with parents, staff and other professionals to assess developmental milestones, identify areas where additional support may be needed, and deliver engaging therapy sessions and adapted activities to help each child reach their full potential.

Ive been able to use these skills and i have set up a dedicated playroom for early years children, filled with high-quality resources to support all areas of learning and development. I also have a large garden creatively designed for all children as I believe outdoor play and curiosity about the world around us is fundamentally important.

I follow the EYFS framework and tailor my curriculum around each child’s individual interests. I create fun and engaging activities and experiences that support learning, helping children to build strong foundation skills, grow in confidence, and become school ready when the time comes. Most importantly, I help children develop a love of learning.
Every term i set Next Steps in each of the 7 areas of development to work towards and share this with parents/carers so we can work in partnership.

I love the outdoors so the children go on lots of outings to farms, national trust places, animal sanctuaries, museums, libraries, parks etc as well as attending playgroups, gardening club, music groups to support their social skills.

The children will get involved in growing their own vegetables, sowing seeds and flowers and learning about how to recycle and ways to look after our planet.
