About Me
Hi I'm Tammy, a highly experienced and qualified practitioner. I have over 17 years experience and exemplary references. I hold a degree in psychology, as well as a level 3 diploma in childcare and education. I also regularly complete relevant training for working with children.
I am a fun and energetic person that believes that consistency and a positive approach to behavior is the way forward. I've cared for so many different and wonderful children over the years and have the skills and strategies to deal with a range of challenging and unchallenging situations. As your nanny, I would provide the best possible care in your absence and offer lots of activities to meet your child's needs throughout the day. I'm very resourceful and can use just about anything for entertainment and learning. I also feel its important to support the family in general, so if you wanted to lighten your load by giving me chores to do (if the children allow me the time) I really don't mind, I'm here to make it easier for you.
I have an an up to date DBS check with status update, as I need this to be registered with ofsted as a manager/lead practitioner. This means that you can request a criminal record check for free when hiring me.

Being the ofsted registered person, responsible for approx 150 children and around 16 staff. I provide a fun and safe environment to socialise in. I am in ratio often too so I keep in touch with the children and what’s going on in my setting.
Nursery (4 years) -
I worked in a day nursery in Lincoln as my first paid job, I started off in the 0-2 years room as the nursery had just started out, as the children got older a pre-school room was developed and I spent a good 3 years in there, gaining knowledge of current practice, legislation and gaining wonderful ideas from other professionals i met.
I currently offer relief services to a day nursery - staying in contact with younger children and up to date with EYFS (I am currently being hold on retainer for this job due to working in another childcare setting).
Nannying(since 2012) -
Since signing up to this site I have met several families, offering them regular care or even just a bit of help and advice. One family with mix gender twins, one with a 2 year old girl, one with an 8 month old boy, two girls under 4 and another family with two EAL learners originally coming from Sudan, and also regular babysitting for a child with additional needs and his sister. As well as this, I have been paid to support and offer advice to a secluded couple with no family close by, on the feeding/ weaning of their baby girl.
Being a nanny, I provide stimulating and age-appropriate activities, as well as any support for their parents such as house-work, shopping or lending an extra hand for those busier moments, such as birthday party entertainment.
Other -
I have previously volunteered in a scout group, aged 10 to 14 years. Familiar with the EYFS framework and can provide development records for your child if requested, so you don't feel like you have missed out on their day. Worked in two schools and a nursery whilst training over a period of two years.
Personal -
Out of work I enjoy going to the cinema/pub quizzes. I do not enjoy house improvements but I may help my husband once in a while and as like everyone, I enjoy a good holiday.
My Qualifications

My Availability
I am currently only looking for part time work. Preferably babysitting in the evenings or a few hours midday. Please look at my availability before contacting. I am already working after school every week day, term time, 2.30-6pm in S11.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)
Would like to be paid weekly or on the day for casual babysitting.
Daytime casual nanny: minimum of £12ph for one child at a minimum of 2 hours work. Rates are negotiable depending on how many children, ages, additional needs and pet care.
Night time casual babysitting - £10 per hour Mon-Fri, £12 Sat/Sun. I am happy to have friends children too if you want to split cost. Please let me know of any pets when messaging.

Tammy has been with us for over 2 years now and we’ve been delighted with her care for our son. He absolutely loves tammy and is one of the few people who he doesn’t battle with over bedtime. As well as babysitting she has also looked after him during the day. Taking him to so see fire engines was a particular highlight for him. I honestly couldn’t have found a better babysitter.

Tammy has been with us for about 4 years now. My kids love her. She’s reliable and available ad hoc when needed also
My youngest is really a huge fan and loves spending time with Tammy. She’s taught him much more than I could have in the time they’ve spent!
Unfortunately he’s moving on to school now but we are hoping to continue to have her in holidays. Don’t miss out on hiring this amazing nanny!!!
She may even help put away clothes and help organise your kitchen if you ask nicely 😃

Tammy has been with my family for over a year helping me every week with my two girls (now 1 and 3). She comes for around 5 hours every week and also babysits some evenings. Starting August she will even be doing some overnights with us while I have to work in London. I cannot recommend Tammy highly enough. She is flexible and goes above and beyond every time and my kids absolutely LOVE her. The care she takes of them and the activities she plans with them are second to none.I trust her completely with my precious girls and really feel she is part of the family. She is very responsible and trustworthy as well as being smart, driven and a great role model for the girls. We hope to have her around for a long time. Tammy has been working for us for over 2 months now. We have 3 children and our youngest son has learning disabilities. Tammy has been great with all 3 children from the word go. She has fun with the children but equally knows exactly when boundaries should be put in place. I can't recommend Tammy highly enough!!

Tammy has looked after my Son Jacob for the last few months on an ad hoc and part time basis. She started caring for him when he was around 8 months old. She continues to be highly professional, caring and responsive to my Son's needs and I could not recommend her highly enough. She is extremely proactive and innovative in her approach to childcare and Jacob is a very happy little boy in her company.
