About Me

Hi, I’m Elizabeth and I’m looking for a nanny position on Monday or Friday that allows me to take my baby daughter along.

Practical provision:
(I would provide/pay for everything for my daughter so there would be no extra cost involved with her, just a lovely play buddy for your child).
I have an UPPAbaby vista double pram ready for use.
I also have a 2019 year 7 seater car (fully insured for business use) which I will use for work/taking children out. I also have car seats only ever used by me for work (two 0+, one rear facing toddler seat and two 9m-12yr).

About me:
I am 26 years old, married to my husband Jack and have a daughter called Esther who was born at the end of December 2021. We live in Paddock Wood but have been commuting to Tunbridge Wells until I went on maternity leave.
I am fully trained as a Primary School Teacher but have been working as a nanny full time for over four years. (I was doing part time nanny jobs during summers before this time too). Between nannying and teaching experience I have over 10 years of childcare experience.

Ethos:
I’ve really been getting into the Montessori style of childcare, especially with my daughter as it allows us to be child-led and follow her interests throughout the day. This allows us to balance planned activities with free explorative playtime. However, I am extremely flexible when it comes to the desires of parents in preferred methods of parenting/ childcare.

I love kids and family life!
I try to take the children in my care outside everyday for a walk or time in a playground as well as social groups like playgroups or classes which helps split the day up and stimulate exploration. I also focus on child led play that helps develop independence, imagination and creativity. I enjoy encouraging children to discover who they are and try new things through play and real-life activities.
I am also a very organized person and I enjoy keeping a house running between all the fun playtimes!

I would like to be with a family who I can work closely with to build a safe, explorative environment for the child/children involved and ideally long term.
It is all about teamwork and communication between us as caregivers!
I understand that flexibility will be required due to having my own baby but I believe I can offer a family great care while also providing socialization for my child and yours too due to my level of experience.

I am looking forwards to starting this next adventure with a new family!

My Experience

I previously worked for a family with two children aged 1 and 3 in Tunbridge Wells. As the parents worked from home mostly my main role was to do activities with the children and support the family with general childcare duties/home help. I started with both at home and slowly transitioned the older one to reset and then school while having the younger one at home during the day. This gave us time for plenty of activities and variety to the day between groups and pick ups from school.

Before this I worked for a family in Fulham/ Victoria (London) with an 18 month old girl (9m when started). I provided fully time care 50 hours a week. I was in charge of activities, food planning/ cooking and basic home care/ organization and general childcare duties.

Prior to this, I was with a baby boy, doing the same role as above. I looked after him between the age of 10 months to 15 months.

Before that role I looked after a family with a 3 year old boy and 6 year old girl. I fulfilled general care duties, household support, daily pick up from school and homework/ music practice. The little boy had a speech delay so I worked with him using a range of phonics activities.

I have also done ad hoc care (daytime and evening) for a few friends’ children since they were 2 months old until school age.

I have nannied over the previous 4 summers for a baby/ toddler and children aged 8 months - 10 year old.
Helped on Christian summer camps and in church kids groups for children aged 6m and up.
Babysitting for 3 week old- 11 year olds.
Part time nanny for 2 kids
Full time nanny for three families with babies/ toddlers since April 2019.
Ad hoc childcare for toddlers and babies of various ages over the past 8 years.
