About Me

I believe that caring for children is very much a nurturing process and a partnership between parent and carer. Having had 3 children of my own, one of whom had a variety of learning difficulties, I very much take an holistic and individual approach towards every child in my care. From those exciting and important babyhood months, to helping them grow and develop into toddlerhood through to the confident pre-schoolers that I hope every child in my care will become.

My Experience

I initially trained in Primary School education, but after the birth of my first child who had complex needs I was unable to continue. Through trying to get to grips with my daughter's complex learning difficulties, I found out about the importance of food and the effect it has to transform a child's life. This led me to train as a design and technology secondary school teacher specialising in food technology.

My Qualifications

BA (Hons) in English & Politics, PGCE in Secondary School Education, Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid, Level 2 & 3 in Safeguarding (keeping children safe), Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene for Early Years Setting, ICO member

My Availability

I offer full time child care apart from 2 weeks at Christmas, 2 weeks at Easter and 3 weeks at the end of July beginning of August when I close.

I offer flexible times, but from a fee point of view I have a morning session, afternoon session or a full day.
