About Me

Hello! My name is Chloe, I'm 29 years old and live in Hastings. I've just finished my second year in university, studying Applied Animal Behaviour and Conservation, at the lovely Plumpton College, and I am looking to fill my summer with some babysitting/nannying hopefully with a regular family. I am currently available Monday to Friday until W/C 7th September where I will be back at University. In September my availability will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Please get in touch if you'd like to know any more about me or my availability. Thank you!

I have a caring nature and fun loving attitude. I love music and animals, so if you are a family with fur babies too, I'm more than happy to take care of them also. I'm passionate about the development of children and I believe its really important to help a child to grow into the person they want to be.

My Experience

Babysitting, cat sitting and Studying, Hastings, East Sussex — November 2024- September 2025
During college days off, I provided regular childcare for a 4 year old girl. I was responsible for preparing lunch and snacks and to ensure a safe and engaging environment for her whether that was at home or on trips out. I organised creative and educational activities including, bracelet making, painting, role play, and visits to the beach, park, and library. I also cared for the family’s cat during their holidays. This including feeding, administering medication, cleaning litter trays, providing enrichment in the form of play and ensuring their wellbeing. I built a strong and trusting relationship with both the child and the family and continue to babysit when I am needed.

Teaching Assistant, Ark Castledown Primary Academy, Hastings, East Sussex — February 2023- August 2024
During my time at Castledown I supported pupils across years 1, 4 and 6 adapting to the variety of age groups and individual learning needs of the pupils. I delivered small group interventions, including Phonics (Read Write Inc), and 1:1 support for SEND students. I independently led classroom teaching during PPA cover and staff absences, in which I once stepped into a lead teaching role for two full weeks and independently delivered lessons, managed behaviour and classroom organisation, whilst maintaining continuity for the pupils in the class. I also assisted in breakfast club, school trips and ran afterschool extra curriculum activates, providing the child with enrichment activities. I built strong relationships with both the pupils, their parents, and fellow staff members, prioritising trust, communication and teamwork.

Forest Educator, Little Forest Folk, Fulham, London- February 2022- May 2022
I delivered outdoor early years education in a forest school setting, setting up and maintaining the outdoor learning environment ensuring the natural environment was enriching for the children and met all their developmental needs. I led activities, completed observations, conducted risk assessments, prepared snacks and meals and managed my key children’s development plans. I liaised with parents and collaborated with the team to ensure a safe and educational natural environment.

Teaching and Beehive Club Assistant, Bishops Down Primary School, Tunbridge Wells, Kent- September 2018- December 2021
I worked across Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. I provided close support to children with behavioural, learning, and physical needs. I delivered interventions, created resources and helped with creative projects such as nativities, and the Year 6 end of year performance. I worked in Beehive, a breakfast and afterschool club in which I led enriching actives, games, and prepared snacks and dinner. During COVID-19 I took on leadership responsibilities, managing rotas, and the opening and closing procedures.

Childcare Practitioner, St George’s Community Project, Tunbridge Wells, Kent- 2012- July 2018
I started as a student here and progressed to a full-time role. I supported ages 6 months- 4 years, with the majority my time spent as a key worker for children aged 2-3. I planned and delivered learning activities ensuring they met the developmental stages of the children. I recorded observations for my key children, following their developmental plans and ensuring clear communication with the parents/carers. I had the opportunity to also mentor students on their work placement at the nursery.
