About Me
I’m Pollyanna, I’m 30, and have just graduated my degree in Special Educational Needs and Disability Studies with a first class honours! I really enjoyed it! I currently nanny for two lovely little girls 4 evenings one week and 2 the following on a rolling schedule. I am looking for some part time babysitting at weekends or during the day, or on the evenings I’m not with the girls. I have a baby boy who is 1 who I will have with me during the day.
I also currently work for an adult social care company offering home visits to adults who need welfare checks, I do this on a relief contract so as and when.
My Experience
I previously worked at Schools Out Activities holiday clubs with both Early Explorers & Creative Crew, and then as their Camp Manager! Alongside this I worked as a supply support worker in a special school and did babysitting with a lovely family with a child with additional needs when needed. I love working with children of all ages.
I’ve previously worked in a nursery for three years, where I left to be a carer for a young lady with Down Syndrome which I did for 4 years. During this time I also worked at a college with teenagers with a range of difficulties, disabilities and mental health conditions. Since moving to Ipswich I have worked as a nanny for a year, and also at Suffolk New College as a LSA. I am on the DBS update service. I have a car with a clean licence.
My Qualifications
I have GCSES, two A levels and a year of study at the open university in youth work. Having worked in a nursery for three years as a nursery assistant I have all the relevant experience. I have also worked with older children and teenagers. I have done courses in different disabilities & managing behaviours as well as manual handling. I have finished my final year of university where I have gained great experience and knowledge of disabilities and special needs, alongside children’s rights and legislation, graduating with a first.
My Availability
I have lots of availability over summer
I am looking for part time work. I am happy to help a family as and when needed. I am free weekends and evenings without my baby, or any other time with Henry with me should this be suitable.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
Im flexible as I completely understand childcare is expensive but would like the minimum payment to be minimum wage if possible.
