About Me
I’m a young at heart 61yr old. I am happily married and have two grown up children (27and 31) a 4 yr old granddaughter and 2 yr old grandson, who are gorgeous ( I’m obviously biased). I consider myself to be kind, patient, friendly with a good sense of humour,(something I think is important if you are looking after children). I love animals, we have a large French water dog who I love taking for long walks. I enjoy spending time outside in our garden ( I’m a novice gardener), baking (any excuse to make a cake!) yoga and generally keeping fit. I also love arts and crafts and up cycling old furniture.
My Experience
Although I have no formal childcare qualifications I have plenty of experience with children. I have bought up two children and now have grandchildren. Over the years I have worked with some lovely families. I worked for a lovely family in Bath, for 2 1/2 yrs, collecting their 3 girls from school, (they were 6,9,12), helping with homework, playing games, doing arts and crafts with them and cooking their dinner ( mum usually prepared something). We have remained friends ever since. My last employers were a lovely family with two little girls (2yrs and 4yrs). I would collect them from nursery and school. We would go to park, play at home and generally have fun. I would then cook them a basic evening meal. I worked for them for almost two years.
I also worked part time in a pre school when my children were much younger and as a childminder before having my own children.
My Qualifications
I may not have a childcare qualification but have many years of experience with children, through bringing up my own children, grandchildren, working in a nursery and also as an after school nanny
My Availability
I am flexible with days and hours but don’t work on a Thursday or weekends and don’t offer babysitting.
