I am a warm and playful career nanny with more than 6 years experience caring for children 6 months to 12 years. I am very confident in my ability to manage multiple children, and to ensure the good behaviour and well-being of all using gentle parenting and positive discipline. I also pride myself in my ability to form a strong connection with the children to ensure all their physical, social and emotional needs are being met and they can have a happy and productive time.
My experience in a nursery has taught me a plethora about early years development and learning through play. In addition I use a "nanny planner" to keep track daily, including; food, nappies, sleep, and activities. I believe parents should always be informed and involved so transparency and communication, leading to a strong trusting relationship between parents and myself, is vital.
I believe children are amazing. They are hugely curious about the world, which I love to encourage as well as be a part of. I find that children teach me as much as I teach them which I am always grateful for. The early years of a child's life are so vital to them becoming happy and healthy adults, so I take that responsibility very seriously by always applying myself fully to my role. In the long term, I am hoping to pursue a career in Child Psychology.
In my free time I love to consume stories; reading books, watching films and playing video games. I enjoy casual hiking and have recently started running. I spend time with my long-term partner and two hypoallergenic cats, and am passionate about good vegan food! I am currently in my third year of studying my second degree in child psychology.
