My Experience
I have been an Ofsted-registered childminder for 17 years and continue to find the role both enjoyable and highly rewarding.
As a parent to three children and a grandparent to two granddaughters, I have gained extensive hands-on experience in understanding children’s individual needs, routines, and interests. This personal experience strongly supports my professional practice and helps me provide consistent, responsive care on a day-to-day basis.
I have also completed a Level 3 qualification in Movement Play, which has given me a deeper understanding of how physical play supports children’s development and learning. This knowledge enables me to plan activities that promote coordination, confidence, and lifelong physical skills, providing children with strong foundations for the future.
My Qualifications
I am Paediatric First Aid and EpiPen trained and hold Gold Membership with Childcare.co.uk, through whom I am fully insured.
I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and regularly attend training courses and professional development to ensure I remain fully up to date with current legislation, safeguarding requirements, and EYFS guidance. I also attend webinars and professional updates focused on curriculum development, effective planning, and achieving the best possible outcomes for every child in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
