About Me

Looking for a position from January 2024

Hello, my name is Dena and I am an experienced nanny with a passion for providing the best possible care for children. I have experience working with children of various ages and am able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them. I am a strong communicator and am able to keep both the children and their parents informed about their progress and well-being.

I am patient, kind, and able to handle difficult situations with a calm approach. I am able to manage my time effectively to ensure that all of my tasks are completed on time and that the children are well taken care of. I am also able to engage children in fun and educational activities to provide them with a stimulating environment.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to care for your children and to be a positive role model in their lives. I currently do not drive.

Live Out/in Nanny/Mothers help for Helen August 2023-December 2023
In this position I worked with a family of 4. My sole Care was with their 8 month old son and occasionally his 2 year old brother.
My Duties in this position Included:
Caring for his basic needs: Changing nappies/feeding/bathing/dressing
Completed household chores like washing/toy cleaning/dishwashing and keeping rooms tidy
Providing age appropriate activities led by the child's interests inside the home
Taking Trips outside the home sometimes with both children to farm parks, Zoo’s and playgrounds
Going out to baby groups to ensure the child has socialization outside the home
Help the parents create a positive routine for the children for day and nighttime

Orchard Day Nursery - Yattendon, Berkshire October 2016 - December 2017-I worked as an apprentice here and completed my Level 2 childcare training.
At Orchard I gained experience working with many different children and built strong relationships with staff and parents. I studied the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and completed first aid training. I became a key worker and learnt how to correctly fill in reports and updates for each child using both electrical and paper formats. I was responsible for daily health and safety checks of the environment. I helped with meal preparation, nappy changing, supervising toilet training and helping with personal hygiene. Additionally, I assisted in the opening of a new nursery under the same branch where I helped the manager prepare the space, supported parents and children during the transition and came up with ideas to improve the children's well-being and create age appropriate and fun daily activities.

Volunteering
Orchard Day Nursery - Yattendon, March 2015 - September 2015
I volunteered here within all rooms ages 1-4 once a week to gain some more work experience and get a feel for the responsibilities you have within a job. I built a great rapport with both the children and staff that I contacted them again after I finished my studies to apply for the apprenticeship.

Streatley Primary School - Streatley September 2014 - November 2014
I volunteered a few times in these few months with the Year Ones and Twos. I was helping support the teachers and children during their lessons and supervise them during playtime and they helped me gain confidence and valuable communication skills.
