My Experience

I have over 30 years experience working with children from 0 to 11 years.
I initially worked in private day nurseries as a nursery nurse, rising to become a manager. After several years, I became an early years assessor at college and helped our new generation of childcare workers achieve their early years qualification.
As a family, we then fostered children from birth to 11 years in our home for 4 years.
My last employment was at a primary school as a Pastoral Manager for children aged 2 to 11. I was a safeguarding lead and liaison with the community. I worked with many professionals and also provided intensive one to one support / thrive sessions for our most vulnerable children. I have helped families who have been subject to child protection, and have worked with children who have become looked after, attending to their emotional needs at all times.
My own son has ADHD, and has continued with this into his adulthood. I have learnt a lot from him which has helped when connecting with children who have additional needs.
I have always welcomed children into my home from my extended family and I enjoy the conversations and learning that they give me every day.

My Availability

I am looking for 20 hours per week, not split hours. I am pretty flexible with this during the week and would do weekends as casual one offs.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)

My working hourly rate is £12 - £14 per hour
