Fantastic Family-centred childcare

When we were looking for a nursery setting/full time child care for our son, my husband and I explored many different nurseries and childminders. Our first visit to Kay and her team was incredible. Not only did we find ourselves very much at home, but the love and attention from the other children at Kay's also made our son feel very much at home. The older children demonstrated their ability to socialise and interact with children of a younger age and children of a similar age bonded very quickly. It was just like an extended family. The settling in period was well thought out and I was confident about leaving my son in Kay and her team's capable hands. When our second son arrived, we had no hesitation in choosing Kay and her team.

Throughout our sons' time at Kay's, communication was without a doubt incredible. Every step of our sons' development was photographed and documented so thoroughly. We received daily reports of what our sons had eaten, the different activities they had taken part in and how their language had developed. There were also helpful activities that were suggested to us to support our sons at home and continue with the great work that Kay and her team did during the day.

One of the highlights of our sons' time at Kay's was the food. Each day, the food was freshly prepared and offered a wide variety throughout the week. The breadth of activities was another huge highlight. Being boys, they loved being outside, whatever the weather. No matter what activities our sons took part in during the day, their clothes were never dirty. Kay would either change the children before taking part in 'messy' activities or supply overalls to protect their clothes.

Above all, my boys, now aged 7 and 11 have fond memories of their time at Kay's and have kept in touch with the children they 'grew up' with and are their oldest friends. The most important and long lasting legacy is that of the values that Kay and her team have instilled in the boys. These have helped to shape them into the kind and caring young men they are today.

Lovely place and people!

Kay is very kind, calm and patient with the children and I have always seen how they adore her. My little one was very happy there and always looked forward to go to Kay's in the morning.

Kay and the team takes lots of pictures and there were regular feedbacks on their progress. My elder daughter who never went to Kay's used to say that her little sister is lucky that she could go to Kay's.
My daughter was very happy to play with her little friends there and she used to say I helped Kay look after the little ones.

My daughter started at Kay's when she was nearly 2 and from then on I could see the great progress she made in talking, socializing and learning new things.

Now that my daughter has started big school, I could see how much she learned from Kay's and I am really happy that she went to Kay's.

a home away from home

When I was looking for a childminder for my son aged 1, I was so impressed by Kay's experience, her setting and her wonderful team of staff that I didn't hesitate to book a place for my son. Over a year later, I think this is the best decision we made. Kay's is a home away from home for our son. He absolutely adores her and loves going there. He's made lovely little friends and I know he is occupied with fun and educational activities in a pressure-free homely environment. I really like that Kay and her team provide responsive childcare; they are led by the children rather than making the children fit into a set routine. As a result, my son is flexible and this has worked well for us at home. Kay has also been flexible with us when we needed it and responsive to us as parents. Kay and her team are very gentle with the kids, they focus on their wellbeing and I trust them completely with the wellbeing of my child. Overall, Kay and her team are fantastic and I have loved watching my son bond with them. I honestly feel that leaving our son with Kay has helped shape his personality in a very positive way. I can't thank Kay enough.

More than a childminder

Most grateful to Kay and her team for their outstanding work and care for the children.

As all parents do, we invested quite some time in looking for the best childcare option for our son when the time came (1 year and 3 months old). After few interviews with both nannies and childminders we got in touch with Jolanta and Kay and since our first meeting we never looked back.

They offer children lots of outdoor play time, a vast array of activities and toys in a safe environment (outings, crafts, messy play, reading, sing and song sessions) and NO TV time (for us it was a yes/no criteria). They always seek to improve their practices either through training or the feedback they receive from us parents.

Due to the size and quality of the team, they can dedicate enough time and attention to each individual child and take their unique character into consideration (another critical thing for us).

The daily notes and pictures we receive have helped us keep up to date with our sons' daily events, helping us connect with him and build on his experiences and learnings.

Big thank you to Kay and team for being more than just carers and taking your relationship to our son to a trully educational, guardian level.

Amazing child led childcare

Kay and her team are absolutely amazing. I was very very worried and upset about my son having to go to a childminder and they really helped me as well as my son settle! We were able to choice the settling in approach for us which for us meant we went and joined them each morning together for a couple of weeks. This helped my son to know I felt it was a safe space before we tried out me leaving. It also meant I had amazing memories of him playing and seeing the other kids have fun while I went back to work and missed him!  Kay and the team have a flexible approach realising each child is there own person and really caters for thier needs.

My son loves it there and has been there over a year now and I can'/ say a bad word. He's happy to go in the morning and talks about who he is going to see. They have loads of different toys available have have a good mixture between free play and more structure play. They regularly do crafts and messy play along with singing and story sessions which my son loves. They have a large garden with more toys that you can imagine. They also regularly go on trips out to toddler groups, the park, to watch trains or busses or even a bear hunt! They are so creative in thier activities.

Kay and her team takes loads of photos and writes a diary everyday. It really helps me to feel like I understand what he's day been like and I love to see all the photos of him playing. Sending my son to childcare really was my worst nightmare but it's been much easier because of the love I see them give him! I can'tt recommend Kay and her team enough.
