My name is Adele Findell and I am an Ofsted registered childminder of 15 years and I really love my job. Ofsted recently visited and they said; “Children respond well to the childminder's calm, caring and attentive nature. They show they have a good bond with her. Newer children that need a little extra support, receive lots of reassurance and cuddles. The childminder has high expectations for children's learning. She is a positive role model that actively joins in with their play and supports children to behave well and develop good attitudes towards new experiences.”
I enjoy doing lots of messy activities, baking, music, imaginative play, and going out locally, and even into central London when possible.
I follow the EYFS and plan to your child’s needs and development. Each month we look at a different book of interest and plan exciting stimulating activities around that. I record and observe your child’s development and keep a digital copy for you to see at any time.
I am passionate about providing loving, enabling environments for children so that they blossom into independent learners.
I work 8am-6pm monday to Thursday. All my meals are home cooked, healthy and balanced!
I accept childcare vouchers and early years funded places.
I moved to Waltham Forest in 2024, but prior to that I was a Childminder in Hackney for 10 years, but have around 18 years childcare experience. Working in nursery settings, schools, and as a nanny. My family and I have just brought our first home in Leyton and I will be setting g up my childminding setting from there for September 2026. We also have a lovely cat. I have been very fortunate to look after many children over my career and the area I believe I am strongest in, is helping children to feel secure, confident, and safe. I strive to ensure the children in my care are thriving in a happy, home from home environment.

My Experience
Previous to working as a childminder, I worked in a private day nursery, where I was a Room Leader of the 2-3 age group. I enjoyed doing lots of exploring with the children, taking them out for trips, for example London City Airport, which everybody loved. My responsibilities include planning, observations, and generally caring for the welfare of the children.
Because of my experience in the workplace and university, I have developed a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Curriculum, and have a sound understanding of developmental stages, and what activities best encourage development in all areas.
Previous to moving down to London, I worked in 2 other private day nurseries in Wolverhampton. Whilst in these nurseries I worked with all ages, from birth to pre-school (4+yrs). I worked very closely with the parents and children, and enjoyed having the opportunity to work with the varying ages.
With my experience, knowledge and passion, I feel I could make your child's learning and development a wonderful time.

Highfields School - September 1999-July 2006. Achieved 3 A-Levels in English, Psychology and Spanish. 11 GCSE's grades A-C, including Maths, English and Science.
My Availability
I am open 8am-6pm Monday-Thursday, 45 weeks of the year.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
£11p/h for non funded hours, payable in advance of the month.
