My Requirements

Afterschool care for Ophelia and Annabelle on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This is principally a term time position requiring approximately 10 hours per week but with potential for extra hours during school holidays and babysitting during week/weekends. Also potential for additional housekeeping work if desired.

The role would essentially involve collecting Motley from home before walking to KCC to collect Ophelia at 3.20/4.30 pm (depending on after-school club commitments) and then returning home. Once home, you would oversee Ophelia’s homework and do some light housework (e.g. laundry) or begin preparing dinner. Annabelle needs collecting at 5.30 pm from her bus stop in Kingsbridge, preferably in the car (if you have one) or on bicycles/scooters. Annabelle will need help with a little bit of homework/reading whilst dinner is being prepared.

The girls have their dinner around 6.00pm, by which point Ellie will be arriving home from work.

We are looking for someone who has plenty of initiative, is proactive, organised, punctual and of course friendly and caring - someone who is going to have fun spending time with the girls in the afternoons whilst at the same time providing them with the structure and support they need. Although this is a sole care role during the hours in which you are working, we will be around in the evenings and are always available to discuss the girls and any ways to improve their afternoons.

Ideally, in addition to the above nannying responsibilities, you would also be able to help us with some housekeeping, i.e. cleaning and laundry (4 hours per week). This would preferably take place between 1-3pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday, though there is flexibility either to continue past 6pm or come in on different weekdays to help us with this. Equally, we are willing to consider candidates who do not have availability for or are not looking for this housekeeping element.
