Hello, my name is Nawal and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I have recently re-located to Northfields London, a year ago from Wiltshire, after marrying my husband. Prior to that I finished my studies in Gloucestershire, achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Level 6 qualification). I also have 10 years of experience with a combination of both studying and working in childcare. Childcare is my passion which is the path I have followed for both education and career.
I truly believe children mirror those around them, therefore I know that a happy, loving and enthusiastic environment is essential for children to thrive and blossom.
I follow the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), this allows me to put an emphasis on outdoor play as children learn so much through being outdoors and exploring. Even with a simple activity such as a walk to the shops, I ensure your child will still be having fun whilst also learning at the same time! For example, doing a sound walk with the children, or talking about any objects they see on the way to the shops that are square shapes. Any chance is an opportunity for your child to learn through their play and having fun.
I am a happy and energetic person and I deliver a high standard of care. Your child’s well-being is my top priority and I ensure your child is coming to a comfortable and a happy setting. My aim is to deliver a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children, allowing them to develop, progress and thrive as they grow. I prefer a smaller setting as I feel this allows me to spend more time with each child, as this is vital to your child’s development.
I offer a range of activities from arts and crafts, physical exercise (healthy sized garden with activities ranging from football to water play), construction, small world, quiet reading and a mixture of adult and child led activities. I also believe experiencing trips is a great way for a child to grow and interact with the outside world. These include trips to: the park, local library, walk to the shops and museums!
10 years of experience in childcare.
I started my journey into childcare straight after finishing secondary school. I obtained my level 3 child diploma whilst also working at placements alongside this. After achieving my level 3, I got offered a job at a private nursery. I was a childcare assistant in the baby room and soon after got promoted to toddler room lead. Responsibilities included; daily planning, responsible for key children who's progress I track throughout the term and also worked closely with their parents.
Following this, I took up work in a pre-school where I was a session coordinator looking after children from 2-5 years old. My job entailed delegating staff, school readiness activities, 1:1 with special needs children, organising termly planning as well as daily planning, tracking children’s learning journeys and writing up progress reports.
I left this job as I was moving to London and now looking to progress my career in childcare by becoming a childminder.

Our 18 month old currently attends Nawal’s Childcare and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to place her here. From the moment my husband and I met Nawal we felt at ease. Nawal is brilliant at communicating with us and I am always up to date with how Elise is doing each day. Most importantly, Elise loves going to Nawal’s house each day. She is learning new things, playing with other kids, doing fun activities, spending lots of time outdoors and thoroughly enjoys the meals that Nawal cooks. Nawal is thoughtful, kind, enthusiastic and passionate about her career and we couldn’t recommend her more.
Nawal is a great childminder with a set development programme. And the use of an app for reporting made it really easy to keep up to date with our son's development. He made so much progress and really enjoyed his time there. We would thoroughly recommend Nawal.
Since my 2.5 y.o started with Nawal 3 months back she's been coming home confident and beaming with happiness. Nawal is such a genuinely caring educator, and always plans stimulating activities for my little one. It's clear she has a wealth of experience in early years education and has a great relationship with her kids and parents. Her setting really is a home away from home and my mind is at peace knowing my daughter will be well looked after.
Nawal is an amazing role model who’s very approachable, knowledgeable and always has the children’s best interests at heart. My little one loves playing and learning with Nawal, she is one of the very few I trust to look after him! Even after her move to London he still talks about her now, which just shows how much of an impression she must of left on him!
Nawal is just brilliant with children a true natural she’s so caring and compassionate! She has worked with children of a variety of ages and needs. I would highly recommend Nawal.
