About Me

Hi, I’m a caring, friendly, and reliable childcare professional with a genuine love for working with children. I’ve been babysitting since my secondary school days, starting out by helping family friends and gradually building wonderful relationships with families through recommendations. Being trusted and welcomed into people’s homes to care for their children is something I never take for granted.

I’ve had the pleasure of caring for children of all ages, from newborns right through to pre-teens, so I understand that every child is different and has their own personality, routines, and needs. I always take the time to get to know each child and create an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, listened to, and able to be themselves.

I’m also a proud mum to my lovely 5-year-old son, who brings so much joy, laughter, and adventure into my life! Being a mum has made my love for childcare even stronger and has given me an even greater appreciation for the trust parents place in someone looking after their little ones.

Coming from a large family, I’ve been surrounded by children for as long as I can remember, and I genuinely love the fun, energy, and curiosity they bring. I’m a big believer that children learn so much through play, so I enjoy getting creative and planning activities that are not only fun but also encourage imagination, confidence, movement, and learning. Whether it’s getting stuck into arts and crafts, reading stories, playing games, baking, exploring outdoors, or simply having a good old-fashioned play session, I love making children feel happy and engaged.

I’m naturally warm, patient, organised, and considerate, and I’m always happy to lend a helping hand. I understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable and reassured when leaving their children in someone else’s care. My aim is to make your life a little easier while making sure your children feel cared for, entertained, and genuinely happy.

Outside of childcare, I enjoy going to the cinema, experimenting with healthy recipes, and keeping my home organised and welcoming. I bring that same calm and organised approach to the families I work with.

For me, babysitting isn’t simply about keeping children occupied — it’s about building trust, creating lovely memories, and becoming someone both children and parents can feel comfortable relying on. I feel very lucky to do something I truly enjoy, and I’d love the opportunity to become a trusted part of your family’s support system.

My Experience

I’m an experienced and caring childcare professional with several years of hands-on experience caring for children from newborns through to teenagers.

From 2022 to 2025, I worked closely with a wonderful family caring for twin boys and their older brother. My responsibilities included school runs, preparing meals, organising activities, supporting homework, and managing daily routines. I also provided occasional overnight care. I built a strong bond with the children, and the role ended only because the family relocated.

I currently work with two lovely families, caring for a baby girl and supporting her siblings with school pick-ups, playgroups, soft play, activities, dinner, and evening routines.

I’ve also worked as a part-time nanny for children aged 12 and 14, supporting them with homework, meals, and household tasks. Alongside my nannying experience, I worked in a school setting supporting young people aged 13–16, including children who experienced challenging behaviours. This taught me the importance of patience, understanding, consistency, and adapting my approach to each child.

I previously cared for three children in a part-time nanny role from 2017 to 2020, managing school runs, activities, healthy meals, bedtime routines, and occasional overnight stays.

Across all of my roles, I’ve developed a calm, responsible, and nurturing approach. I understand that every child is different, and I always aim to create a safe, positive environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

My Qualifications

I hold a Creative Arts Diploma (Pass) and a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care. I also have a range of GCSEs graded A–C. My studies have helped me develop strong communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills, which I bring into my work with children.
