Auntie Annies
Childminder in London: Camden
My Summary
Ofsted Outstanding Childminder In Belsize Park, Hampstead, Nw3
About Me
Hello! I’m Auntie Annie – and all the little ones I care for are my Angels!
I’m a fun, loving, creative, and energetic Early Years Practitioner with over 22 years of experience. I’m incredibly passionate about child development and providing a nurturing, inspiring space where every child can flourish and reach their full potential.
My approach is a unique blend of Forest School, home learning, and London-based learning experiences. This means children enjoy the best of all worlds – exploring nature, learning through the comfort and security of a home environment, and benefiting from the rich cultural and educational opportunities that London has to offer.
My team of two other lovely Aunties and I are all DBS-checked, paediatric first aid trained, and safeguarding certified – so you can have peace of mind knowing your child is safe, loved, and well cared for.
Every child in my setting is celebrated as the unique little person they are. I believe that babies, toddlers, and young children thrive when they feel secure, respected, and genuinely loved.
We focus on high-quality Early Years experiences, especially supporting communication and language development. That means plenty of books, age-appropriate story time, and lots and lots of singing and music!
I’m also a proud mummy to George (22), Eliza (16), and Billie (4). I live in a warm, caring home with my husband Gary (we’ve been married for 24 years!) and our friendly cat, Boots.
You can find me listed on the Camden Council Childminders Register, and I’d love to welcome your little one into our caring, playful learning environment.
My Experience
Outstanding Early Years Care in the Heart of Belsize Park.
My home and approach to Early Years education has been graded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted – a reflection of the loving, playful, and enriching environment I’ve created for every child in my care.
Based in Belsize Park, I work from a bright and welcoming three-bedroom terraced house with a secure garden and a dedicated play cabin. Our space is filled with an abundance of toys, resources, and activities to inspire creativity, confidence, and curiosity.
At the heart of our day is a love of learning through play – whether that’s through planned, engaging activities or child-led, self-chosen experiences. Every day brings opportunities to explore, imagine, create, and connect, both indoors and outdoors.
Outdoor Adventures & Trips
We are adventurers – and London is our playground!
We make the most of our amazing location with regular trips to:
• Our local sensory garden
• London Zoo
• Kentish Town City Farm
• Museums & exhibitions
• Hampstead Heath & local green spaces
•. Our own Allotment
• Playgroups & soft play centres
• Paddling pools, sandpits & local parks
• Kew Gardens – and much more!
Every outing is a chance to learn, discover, and make lasting memories.
Learning Can Be Messy – And That’s Okay!
We have a lovely red uniform so we’re always ready to get stuck in – whether it’s Cooking, paint, mud, water, or sand. Getting messy means we’re learning through doing – and having lots of fun along the way.
My setting is a place where children are cherished, encouraged, and inspired every single day.
We learn. We play. We grow.
And most importantly – we do it with love.

I cannot recommend Auntie Annie’s enough! My son has had such an incredible time exploring and learning through all the excursions and activities the angels do each week. We love that they get out and about each day and the children have experiences that they wouldn’t in a daily nursery setting; whether it’s the post office museum, the British library to see a fairy tales exhibition, or following the life cycle of the frogs at the pond in the sensory garden. Annie’s background in Early Years education really comes through in all their activities and the children have so much fun while learning and developing new skills.
Annie and the other aunties, Vicky and Amanda, are wonderful. They all go above and beyond caring for and teaching the children, and they do so with such dedication and love. My son adores them and is always excited to arrive in the morning, and doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day! It’s so reassuring to know he’s being so well taken care of. We can’t wait for our youngest son to start with Annie in the coming year.

My daughter has loved Annie’s from the get go. She cannot wait to go, and always runs in and doesn’t even want to leave at the end of the day!
Annie provides a wonderfully stimulating, caring, fun and varied day. I love that the they are all out and about and are not stuck in the same room! They go to the Heath, spend time in nature as well as play groups and indoor adventures. The team are so so kind and caring, they provide a safe engaged and friendly environment in which my daughter has grown and thrived. Annie carefully plans the weeks and the communication is so clear.
My daughter has honestly loved it here and it’s been so reassuring for our family to know and have Annie in our lives!!!

I cannot recommend this childcare highly enough; it is a place rooted in genuine love and deep care. In just four months, my son has flourished physically and mentally, showing incredible progress that has exceeded all our expectations. The activities planned across London are so thoughtful and engaging, ensuring he is constantly learning and exploring in a nurturing environment. Beyond the amazing impact on our son, she has been an invaluable mentor to us as parents, teaching us how to communicate more effectively with our children. We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a dedicated professional team who cares our son so much.

Annie and her team Vicky and Amanda are amazing. Our daughter has been with them for almost 18 months. They have helped her development immeasurably and show true love and care for her. We feel truly comfortable leaving her in their care and on pick up on most days she doesn't want to come home. I can't speak highly enough about the environment Annie has created for all the kids.

Our 13 month old has been with Aunty Annie and her team for the past 2 months. She is loving the nursery and spending time with the team and other children. The nursery is conveniently situated close to Belsize Park station and close to the tube. Annie and her staff are lovely and have taken care of our little angel well. We get regular updates of what she is up to and are kept up to date with her developments and milestones. The staff are almost always out and about keeping the children stimulated and engaged. Some of the trips include the local playground, library, parks, soft play and much more.
Day and mon to wed and hours are from 8 to 5 and we prepare lunch for our daughter. We are very happy with Aunty Annie and the team.

B has been with ‘Auntie Annie’s’ for 3 years and we couldn’t be more pleased with her and her team (Vicky and Amanda).
They do an exceptional job providing a happy, safe, caring and stimulating environment for the children. Annie organises lots of trips and experiences that have expanded B’s language and knowledge of the world around him. Annie communicates well with us day to day and regularly shares updates on his progress. B always talks positively about everyone at Annie’s and we couldn’t recommend her and her team more highly.

Our two daughters have been cared for by Annie since they were both 6 months old and adore Annie, her helpers – Vicky and Amanda – and the best friends they’ve made over their time with her.
We love how they are constantly out and about exploring nature and experiencing new and exciting things. Annie’s dedication to child development and education is clear, and her passion for fostering independence, creativity and discovery is truly inspiring.
Annie keeps us well-informed about our girls’ daily activities and development. We have complete confidence that they feel safe and valued, and that they are having an amazing and enriching day while in Annie's care.

There is no other childminder locally that I would want my children to be with such a formative age. Auntie Annie's is a safe, happy and nurturing place, full of fun and endless educational opportunities. My son flourished from his time there, which began the day I returned to work up to when he started nursery. He loved both his fellow angels and the grown-ups that supervised him, thriving in a small group of children who are given the utmost quality in care and early-years education as well as lots of adventurous days out all over London. My daughter, who started with Annie and her team in the spring, is now having the same wonderful experience.
Annie’s home base is wonderful, full of toys and learning aids as well as clean and tidy and I’m not surprised she recently received an Ofsted Outstanding rating. Her excellent teaching philosophy and values are evident every day and in the happy, curious and confident children who spend time in her care. Thank you Annie, Vicky and Amanda!

Florence(3 1/2) and Edie (18 months) have attended Auntie Annie’s since they were about 7 months old and there has not been a day when both have raced in with barely a wave goodbye to us. It is an understatement to say they love it, Annie and her team. I truly believe that I wouldn’t find a better childminder and feel so lucky every day that my children are cared for by Annie and her wonderful team.
Annie and her team are so professional, experienced, supportive and knowledgeable. It is a disservice to say Annie is a childminder as she is SO SO much more. She is passionate about giving the children a wealth of experiences and their encourage development. All activities are well thought through and carefully thought about to challenge and develop. The fact my three year old is teaching us about metamorphosis blows my mind. Annie is so knowledgable about the early years expectations and goals and our children are supported in every way to achieve these. Their social, emotional wellbeing is at the forefront of Annie and her teams minds and I really do credit the wonderful development of my children to them. They have instilled in them clear boundaries and a love for learning. What more could a parent want. My only sadness is that they can not stay with Annie and her team forever but they have honestly given them the best start and such a wonderful introduction to education.

Our daughter started at Annies last years when I returned to work after maternity leave and I cannot recommend her services enough!
Three days a week my little girls days are filled with fun, friends and learning. Annie, Vicky and Amanda teach all the little ones with real life experiences and lots of love. I never have to worry for second when she is in their care.
I have seen my daughter grow so much in the last 10 months and really couldn’t recommend Auntie Annies enough if you are looking for a child care setting for your child.
