Hi, I've worked with children for several years, from newborns up to teenage years. I'm friendly, reliable, nurturing and organised. Children learn best through play, and I enjoy providing a variety of fun activities and experiences, both indoors and outdoors, to support their learning and development.
My Experience
I work as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school which I really enjoy. Previously, I've worked in homes as a nanny, in private nurseries and as a childminder when my own children were small. I have a wide range of experience caring for children with SEN, including complex needs and challenging behaviour. I can help with sleep schedules, weaning, potty training etc.
My Qualifications
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate (available to view online) and a current Paediatric First Aid certificate. I also have up to date training in Child Protection and Safeguarding. I have completed a Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development, followed by a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies. I have several qualifications supporting children's Speech and Language Development and also Special Educational Needs. I am qualified in the development of maths, literacy and phonics skills in pre-school children. I also have training in managing challenging behaviour.
