My Summary

My Experience

From the age of 16 I began babysitting for children of various ages, building up my experience of working with children. From babysitting I then moved on to work within a private nursery in the pre school room working with 3-5 year olds which I would spend the next two years working there. When working within the nursery it would be my role to ensure the surrounding environment was safe for the children to be in and that all activities set up were age appropriate for them. Also on a daily basis I would ensure that all children are seen as individuals and all their needs are being met. I then become a childminder working for a few families over the next 6 years, the children ranged from 3 months - 16 years. Within this role I done everything from the house work, weekly shopping, the families washing and cooking the families dinner every evening. I decided to leave childminding when I became pregnant with my first child and took the time to bring my own children up.
I also have excellent experience with special needs such as; autism, ADHD, global developmental delay and ODD which one of my own children were diagnosed with. One of my children grew up with autism, and ADHD I’ve supported him throughout and attended a variety of classes to widen my knowledge and is now working full time within a nursery, something that was said that wasn’t possible.

BTEC level 1 in childcare
NVQ level 2 in childcare
A Level English language
DBS (currently updating)

First aid and food hygiene
