My Experience

My first job in childcare was a nursery nurse in a Cambridge day nursery working in a baby room, I was there for 4yrs.
For the rest of my working life I’ve been nannying! I’ve had two main nanny jobs, my first nanny role was 2 boys, at the start they were 14mths & 3yrs (now in their early 20’s) . I did play dates, cooking, baking, nursery runs, school runs, hospital visits, speech therapy homework. The role ended when the youngest started school.
My 2nd main job is with a family I have been with for just over 15years!!!! I still do 9 hours a week for them. At the start there was 4yo girl & 5mth boy...during my time with this family I had my daughter & after Mat leave I carried on with them taking her with me. My daughter utterly slotted in as another member of the family. They went on to have a 3rd child. My role has incorporated all duties I listed in my first job plus music practice, sport runs, sailing activities. Once all the children were at school, I continued to nanny before & after school for them while in the day I worked as a TA in the local primary school for 4years.
I’m currently in a part time nanny position in the centre of Cambridge for 3 school age boys.

First Aid - up to date - renewed July 2023
