About Me
I have been a childminder for seven years, and I absolutely love watching children flourish, grow in confidence and master new skills. Supporting little minds through creativity, curiosity and calm, nurturing routines is at the heart of what I do. My proudest moments are seeing children achieve something new — whether it’s a first independent step, a new word, or a skill they’ve been practising for weeks.
I run an active, outdoors?first setting where children explore the world around them every day. We visit a wide range of local places including libraries, parks, playgroups, children’s centres, soft play and garden centres. We also enjoy bigger adventures to farms, National Trust sites, splash parks, beaches and museums. These experiences help children build independence, resilience and a love of learning through real?world discovery.
My setting is warm, welcoming and rooted in the EYFS, with a strong focus on kindness, inclusion and supporting each child at their own pace. I provide a cosy, Hygge?inspired environment indoors and plenty of all?weather outdoor play, giving children the freedom to explore, imagine and grow.
My Experience
I am a highly experienced childminder with seven years of professional practice and four older children of my own, the youngest now 11. Over the years I have cared for many mindees, adapting my curriculum to each child’s interests, needs and learning style. I take pride in extending their learning through thoughtful resources, creative ideas and meaningful real?world experiences.
I absolutely love working with young children — it is a genuine privilege to be part of their early years. Watching them flourish, grow in confidence and master new skills is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I thoroughly enjoy nurturing “little minds” and creating an environment where every child feels valued, supported and excited to learn.
My Qualifications
I have attended lots childminding training, safeguarding, paediatric first aid, forest school and I am always looking to continually Develop professionally be that through local authority training or online, as I am passionate about my mindees achieving their potential. Also if I spot an area one of my mindees could do with a little more input I absolutely invest in the relevant course.

Right from the start our daughter who is 4 warmed immediately to Casey. Lara loves Casey! We are mainly using Casey’s childcare services and also some babysitting which has all been so great. Casey has a natural warmth, enthusiasm and passion for children which is evident in how she comes across. Always plenty of activities and fun ones/ educational too from playing in the garden; indoors work and baking too! Our daughter always returns to us happy, even more chatty and asks when she is seeing Casey again! We feel very lucky to have found her and hope to continue to use as much as we can. Highly recommended.

We have an active toddler and an older child with additional needs (ASD and ADHD), Casey does occasional babysitting for us. She has created a strong bond with our eldest daughter who struggles with her social communication and emotional regulation - she bakes with her and engages with creative play. Our daughter really looks forward to time with Casey. Casey is equally at ease with our lively toddler and she has a calm confident energy which is much needed in our house. We think she is brilliant!

When we met Casey for the first time, our daughter was only 15 months old. It took 10 minutes for them to start playing together as if they were old friends!
Rainy or sunny, scorching hot or freezing cold, with wellies or a sun hat, every morning our daughter leaves the house with a big smile as she knows there are big adventures ahead!!
And every day is different too: Casey is an endless source of activities for children of different ages, especially outdoors! Crafting or cooking at home, splashing in the garden or water parks, singing at the libraries or learning about wildlife in the woods… with care and (lots of) energy Casey is truly nurturing these kids’ growth, and I can’t imagine our daughter in better hands!

Choosing Casey was definitely more than the right decision for our little one. What makes her special is that she’s not just looking after children – she’s a guide who helps them explore the world. She’s incredibly active and energetic, with a real drive to take children out to discover new things. She gives my daughter so much that we can’t provide.
The most impressive thing is how much she values outdoor activities – she takes the children out almost every day. For example, they go to parks, the library, and baby groups (with playing, crafts, cooking, painting, singing, dancing, etc.). She also takes them to National Trust sites and the beach, even though they’re quite far away. I believe it’s her genuine passion for this work that makes her go the extra mile.
Another thing we love is that she sends out a weekly newsletter, each week with a different learning and development theme. She’s the one who plans well and gets things done.
And for the practical things parents care about: she’s very professional, communicates with us promptly, and sends daily updates on our daughter. Her home is very spacious, clean and tidy, and all the toys are clean and look new. She really puts a lot into this job – energy, time, money, you name it. We feel so, so lucky to have her!

Casey has been our babysitter for almost two years now. The boys absolutely love her. I have a seven and a two year old and she is brilliant with both of them. It is so nice going out and not having to worry about anything.
We recently went to a wedding and she had them for the whole day until after 1 am and we didn't have to worry about a thing. She took them out to the beach and to an amusement park. They absolutely loved it and they asked for her to come back the next day.

The best childminder who has a heart for all children and babies, very professional and a wonderful person. Alan always looks forward to visiting Casey House and this has given me peace of mind. Casey is very helpful and treats your child as her own, giving him tender love and attention. My son has a lot of fun and joy with Casey. I highly recommend her. Your child is in safe hands.

I was in touch with Casey when I was pregnant, looking to arrange childcare in advance as I had to go back to work earlier than most. She was so welcoming and open that I instantly had a good feeling about her! She encouraged me to meet other childminders and see who would be the best fit for me, and after doing so, I stuck with my gut instinct and it was definitely the right decision.
My boy started at Casey's when he was 4 months old, and I have always felt happy and confident to leave him in her capable hands. Casey always arranges fun activities for the children that help them develop and improve their skills. She has a clean and tidy home, and I love that she always takes the children out of the house and into nature, whether it's to local parks, forests, or even the beach. She has a large range of indoor activities too, and is always doing creative things. I also really like that she posts what they've been up to on her IG stories as it's reassuring that you can see all the fun things your child has done that day! Casey also texts me an update of what they've been doing that day and any relevant information, which I also really appreciate.
She has always been flexible, and happy to look after my boy at the last minute when I've had a difficult time and desperately need a break, this is also much appreciated!! At the start of our journey I made a lot of mistakes with timings due to sleep deprivation, and must have been a nightmare to deal with, but Casey was always very kind to me about it.
Every week I get a message to let me know what's on the menu for the week ahead and a relevant theme for that week that is followed in the activities they do. She has a good structure in place so the children are always learning about something new.
I would highly recommend Casey, she is an excellent childminder!

We found Casey when our son was 2 years old, and from the very first meeting, we knew she was the perfect person to care for him. When we visited her home, Casey was incredibly welcoming, making both of us feel at ease. She took the time to engage with our son, encouraging him to explore the toys she had and asking about his favourites, which really made him feel comfortable and right at home.
For over six months now, Casey has been nothing short of amazing. She plans a variety of fun outings and activities that our son absolutely loves. Every day with her is filled with new adventures, and we always appreciate the regular photo updates she sends, so we can see what he's been up to. It gives us such peace of mind knowing he's having a great time.
Casey was also incredibly supportive when we started potty training, working with us to ensure consistency, which made a huge difference. She's always been flexible and accommodating, helping us out whenever we needed to add an extra day. Our son has made lovely friendships at Casey's, and we’ve been thrilled to watch his speech and motor skills develop while under her care.
As our son transitions into nursery, we know he’s going to miss Casey dearly, as he’s built such a special bond with her and her family. We truly can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for outstanding childcare. Thank you, Casey!

We booked Casey last minute for our one and half twins and she was very open to help, Casey have nice set up in her house, our twins didn’t want to leave when I come to pick them up. Thank you Casey

We found Casey when our eldest was 8m and we are so glad we chose her to care for our children. As a FTM I was anxious to leave my first-born, who was typically a contact napper and still breastfed frequently day and night. Casey was wonderful with the transition, ensuring both of us were comfortable, building a connection and trust. She made a lot of effort to maintain this in the tricky Covid lockdowns too. We had no hesitations in asking her to care for our second as well, and now they both can enjoy adventures with Casey together.
Casey is always creating wonderful opportunities for the children to learn through play, with plenty of activities and resources. I love that they spend so much time outside, exploring nature and developing their gross motor skills. It’s also wonderful for my children to be with other children of various ages. My eldest has gone from being the youngest mindee to the eldest, learning to empathise and care along the way. Both my children adore her and often don’t want to leave her! Thank you Casey for all you do.
