About Me

Hello My name is Natalie (Nat Nat) and i live in Elmers end, Beckenham. i am a fully registered childminder. I have been childminding since 2010. I have 2 children of my own a daughter who is 21 and a son who is 18. My children are very welcoming to all children which come in to our home. I have a 6 year old dog called sonny whom the children adore. I have worked with children for 25 years since completing my level 3 qualification in childcare and education i have worked in day nurseries, pre school and now in my own home. i plan activities for the eyfs age children based on their needs and interests. We spend a lot of time outdoors in all weathers at local parks, outdoor toddler clubs, day trips to, farms, nature trails, baby and toddler groups the list is endless. We love to be outside exploring and taking sonny for long walks in parks and woods. I do activities at home and make good use of my garden.I have a separate play room with a huge range of toys for the children to explore. We celebrate occasions such as Chinese new year, mothers and Father’s Day, the queens jubilee and a childminder meet to hold our very own sports day with lots of games for the children.
if i am able to help with your childcare needs then please get in touch for further information.

My Experience

i am a qualified nursery nurse with a NVQ 3 diploma in childcare and education. After doing my level 3 I worked in a day nursery for 4 years, I then brought up my daughter and my son and went to work in a local pre school for 5 years before becoming a childminder. I have experience with working with all ages children and treat all children as individuals. When becoming a childminder I Completed a ICP (introduction to childcare hombase practice.) pass. I like to stay up to date on how I can keep children safe and develop their education and attend regular courses. I currently use a online system for parents to have full access to their children's developmental progress.

Ofsted Good Provider Logo
Good
4 January 2024
A recent inspection found that children benefit from a wide and varied curriculum in this childcare setting. Strong relationships create a secure environment for learning, emphasizing physical skills, cultural awareness, and communication development. Children engage in daily music, movement, outdoor activities, and creative projects. While the overall assessment is positive, the inspection noted that more time could be given for children to think and respond during interactions.

From the moment I met Nat Nat, I knew my daughter, Margot, would flourish with her. She started just before her first birthday, and now she’s confidently preparing for school — something I’m still trying to emotionally catch up with. Nat has given her the most beautiful start to life, and we are endlessly grateful.
Nat’s home isn’t just a childcare setting; it’s a warm, welcoming bonus family. The bonds she encourages between the children are so special, and her own family plays a huge part in that. Shan Shan is adored by Margot, and Margot has perfected the art of “accidentally” helping herself to snacks from Dan and Lewis the moment they walk through the door. And then there’s Sonny Boy, the world’s softest, most patient dog, who has allowed Margot to love him so intensely and inspired Margot’s deep love of animals.
Nat fills every day with enriching experiences — music and movement clubs, visits to the pet shop (where Margot now thinks she’s qualified to advise staff), library story time, park adventures, and endless creativity at home. She adapts activities for every age and ability, celebrates every festival and special day, and somehow always has a themed craft ready to go. I’m convinced she has a secret cupboard labelled “Emergency Genius Ideas.” Nat will always keep us updated throughout the day with photos of all the adventures.
Margot recently wished on a flower that she could stay with Nat forever — and honestly, I understood the logic and feel it in my soul, Margot will miss Nat massively, she loves spending time in her care. But she’s ready for big school, and that’s because Nat has helped shape her into the kind, caring, confident little girl she is today. Nat has supported us as parents too, always offering reassurance and advice whenever I’ve had worries, and never once making me feel silly for asking.
We truly struck gold when we found Nat. Her warmth, her creativity, her humour, and the way she opens her home and heart to the children is something extraordinary. We will always be grateful for the incredible start she has given Margot.
If I could give a hundred star review I would, I can’t recommend her highly enough
Thank you for everything Nat
Much Love Becky.xx

I honestly cannot recommend Natalie highly enough; she has been absolutely incredible for our family.

My youngest daughter has been with her since she was just 1 year old, and over that time, Natalie has become so much more than a childminder, she is truly like a second mother to her. The bond they have is incredibly special, and as a parent, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is loved, safe, and genuinely cared for.

What sets Natalie apart is that this is not “just a business” to her. She truly cares, deeply, about every child’s wellbeing, development, and happiness. You can see it in everything she does: the warm, nurturing environment she creates; the fun outings (driving to Biggin Hill to watch the planes, going to the farm, golfing, Songbirds playgroup, walking in parks and in nature with the loveliest dog, Sonny Boy, whom the children absolutely adore — you name it, there are so many fun activities that will never compare to a room in a nursery); the creative activities; and the way she helps children grow in confidence and independence.

What has also been amazing for my daughter is the bond she has created with her core group of little friends, who have grown and played together so well. They are all very respectful. Natalie has a natural presence that earns respect through kindness, creating a warm environment where children listen and feel secure. She also provides great guidance to help parents navigate different stages, working together on milestones and developmental phases (such as potty training or handling incidents like hitting).

Something else incredible she has done for our family is the support she provides beyond childcare. As an (often) single mum of two young children, there have been times when I’ve really needed flexibility or help, and Natalie has always gone above and beyond. Whether it’s being accommodating with timings, offering reassurance, or even helping with collections when I’ve been stuck, she has consistently shown kindness, understanding, and genuine care. She supports parents just as much as she supports the children, and that is incredibly rare.

She is also very well connected with nurseries and schools; she is known and trusted in the local community and works closely with Brick by Brick (another very trusted childcare provider for pre-schoolers). She also helps us navigate the childcare system, ensuring we access the right funding.

Having experienced both a nursery setting with my eldest and Natalie’s care with my youngest, I can say without hesitation that I would choose Natalie every single time. In fact, I only wish I had known her sooner so my eldest could have had the same experience.

It genuinely makes me sad that this chapter is coming to an end soon, which says everything about how special she is. I completely disagree with the Ofsted rating; in my opinion, she is absolutely Outstanding.

If you are looking for someone who will not only care for your child but truly invest in them, love them, and support your whole family, Natalie is that person.

My daughter attended Nat Nat’s childcare setting from the age of 1 untill nearly 4 years old.
Natalie is such a lovely warm and caring person. Who genuinely only wants the best for the children in her care.
She not only the supports the children but also parents too with difficult drop offs she would always reassure me with a picture and message that the tears had quickly stopped and she was happily playing.
Natalie always sent updates of the fun that had been had during the day, aswell as crafts my little one would come home with. She has made some forever friends from attending Natalie's.
I can't recommend Natalie enough, for teaching and adoring my daughter and I'm so sad that this chapter of my little girls life has come to an end.
