I have been working in childcare in a nursery setting for over two years. I have a huge passion for working with children, especially watching them develop and grow. Being able to be a part of their growth process is amazing.
Before I got into childcare I got my degree in sports, so keeping children entertained with physical activity comes natural to me. I’m currently a Room leader in a nursery working with children aged 1 1/2 to 3 years. At this age group the children are learning how to communicate their needs, build friendships and other healthy attachments. It’s been a fantastic experience as I was able to develop my skills in the childcare sector, working with a range of children.
After my experience at the nursery, I feel that I’m ready to advance into nannying so I can use the new skills I’ve learnt to have a positive impact on the family I’m placed with. A child’s early years are the most important so picking the right person to look after your child is a huge and important decision. I’ve got the right level of experience and enthusiasm to be successful in this role.

As a room leader it is my job to care for the children in my care. I get them ready for the day, take them to activities, feed them and get them ready for bed. During the day I would teach them through play and speak to them regularly to help them expand their vocabulary. working in a nursery has expanded my skills and i have learnt new techniques and would truly enjoy using them to become a great nanny
I have been able to have a varied experience in the nursery as I worked in the baby room, preschool room and the toddler room so I have experience working with all age groups. Through the job at the nursery, I have built good relationships with the children, parents and staff. Furthermore, I am first aid qualified , DBS checked and have experience being my nursery settings senco officer.
