My Requirements

We are a family with two lovely, energetic boys. One is 11 and in Year 7, the other is 7 and in Year 2. We live in Sidcup, with our dog and cat. Both parents work, partly in London and partly at home. We are looking for a wonderful new person to join our merry crowd to assist with childcare.

Our childcare needs are varied and we would be very keen to hear from anyone interested in any parts of this role!

The full role would involve the following in term time:


Driving 11-year old boy to and from school during term time - it is 20 miles away. This would be required 2 mornings a week (7:45 - 9 to cover return journey).
Picking up 11 year old from school 3 afternoons a week.
Picking up 7 year old boy from school (4 minutes walk from house)
Cooking a meal for the children, supervising supper time and homework.
This would be 4 afternoons a week. (3 - 6:30 two of the days 3 - 5:30 or 6 the other two).
We can provide a car
Option to have longer hours during school holidays, but not necessary

However, we would be interested to hear from anyone who would be interested in part of the job for one of these options:

Option 1 - driving only

Driving 11-year old boy to and from school during term time - it is 20 miles away. This would be required 2 mornings a week (7:45 - 9:15 to cover return journey) and 3 afternoons a week (3:15 - 4:45 to cover return journey). The morning and afternoon slots would need to be on the same days (obviously apart from the third afternoon!). We can provide a car

Option 2 - holidays only

Looking after both boys during holidays from school for full days. Taking them to activities, engaging them in interesting activities at home, lots of outdoor time, cooking for them, etc. A car can be provided for these periods. Both children have longer holidays. Obviously we will take our holidays during this period, so it would not be for every week of the holiday periods.

Option 3 - Term time (no driving required)

Picking up 7 year old boy from school (4 minutes walk from house), bringing him home, cooking a meal, supervising supper time and homework. 11 year old would also need to be provided with supper when returned from school (by someone else). This would be 4 afternoons a week. (3 - 6:30 two of the days 3 - 5:30 or 6 the other two)
