About Me

Hi I’m Nicola. I consider myself to be kind caring, honest and punctual. With a real passion for working with children. I have a level 3 qualification in childcare, Ofsted registered, paediatric first aid level 3 and on the update service (DBS).
I have worked in childcare for 14 years and currently working as a nanny in Harpenden. Previously I’ve worked in nurseries, pre - schools and a special needs school.
I also have two children myself aged 15 and 18.

I have Sole charge of 3 children, aged 2, 5 and 10.
I Ensure a safe journey to and from school and supervise with homework. Setting up appropriate and fun activities throughout the day.
I Prepare meals, take care of the children’s laundry and ensure the house is kept clean and tidy whilst occasionally running errands.

I encourage their development and achieve age related expectations, meanwhile ensuring children’s safety at all times, following the safeguarding regulations and EYFS requirements. I am also the inclusion officer, this requires me to deal with all SEN needs/concerns. I am confident when these situations arise also whist attending meetings and producing reports.

Ensuring COSHH regulations are followed and equipment is properly maintained, defective item is reported to the supervisor and removed until attended to.
