Eunice
Childminder in Ipswich (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am a registered childminder offering care from my professionally run home setting, providing a warm, nurturing, home-from-home environment for children.
I work in close partnership with parents and carers to support each child’s individual needs and to ensure continuity of care between home and my setting.
I follow the Birth to 5 Matters framework in line with the EYFS to support children’s learning and development through a play-based learning approach that supports children’s curiosity, confidence, and independence. I observe, assess, and support each child’s progress and development, tailoring activities to their interests and stage of development.
Children take part in a wide range of carefully planned activities, including creative activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, and gardening. They also enjoy active outdoor play in a safe and stimulating garden environment.
I strongly value outdoor learning and provide regular opportunities for children to explore and learn outdoors. Where appropriate, I offer carefully planned outings to local and wider community settings, including parks, farms, and coastal areas (with parental consent).
I provide structured before- and after-school care, as well as school holiday care tailored to children’s interests and routines where possible.
I maintain small ratios to ensure each child receives individual attention and high-quality care.
Babysitting services are available on request. Please see the Babysitter Rates section for details.
Please note:
School drop-off and collection is available from Clifford Road Primary School only.
My Experience
I am an accredited childminder with over 12 years’ experience working in preschools and nurseries, as well as 3 years’ experience childminding in my home Country. I have extensive experience caring for children from birth to 16 years old and have supported children with additional needs on a one-to-one basis.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Early Learning from Suffolk University, where my dissertation focused on outdoor learning and how forest-school approaches support children’s resilience, confidence, and self-esteem. I strongly believe in the benefits of outdoor and experiential learning, and my setting reflects this approach.
I follow a Montessori-inspired, child-led approach, and my setting is free-flow wherever possible. I regularly update my CPD through online training and courses, and my first aid, safeguarding, and food hygiene training are fully up to date.
