Lucy politely replied to my advert I had posted regarding childcare pick up and drop off to nursery on the three days per week. Her communication was great and she was very polite.
Later that day we had a phone conversation about my requirements for childcare and I really looked forward to meeting Lucy. We arranged a meeting at my home the following day. That evening Lucy messages to say she’d probably be running late for our meeting the following morning which was fine by me, she was courteous and polite.
Lucy came to my house the following day, again we discussed the hours and her journey to my house and my requirements for childcare which she was more than happy with that fitted with her own family commitments, she was so lovely, she had all the experience we were looking for and she also had the additional course that we knew would be so beneficial for our son as he had speech delay. We arranged the next time she would come to the house to start work.
The following day Lucy messaged to say she’d had a think and the small commute was worrying her and it wasn’t beneficial because of such small hours, I wish Lucy had mentioned this on the three prior occasions we had spoken about the hours or when she was at my house. I did offer to increase her hours but she still said no, which only leads me to believe there must be some other reasons. I did say I understood and that if she was still available on ad-hoc occasions then that would be really helpful to me for baby sitting as I have my child’s hospital appointments to attend. The message has been delivered but all she has not read it or replied, all communication has now stopped. I am very disappointed as I really thought I had found the perfect nanny to help me out, she certainly ticked all the boxes for us and we were really looking forward to working with Lucy, I wish her all the best in the future.

Denka was amazing nanny to my young family. She has so much experience with twins. Was always reliable and on time. Always friendly and accommodating. Denka always fitted me into her plans to make sure she was available. I’ll be forever grateful to Denka and her daughters who were the only people who were willing to change their plans when I went into labour and take over the children in the house. I can trust denka to do the right thing and not have to worry. Thank you.
