I am a serious, curious, open minded and patient native italian professional, able to communicate in an efficient and positive way with children and adults, in many different contexts.

My Experience
Native italian
13 years experience as Teacher of Humanities and English at Primary School in Bologna (Italy), support teacher in small groups of pupils, cultural and linguistic mediator with foreign students, private teacher with students from the High School, volunteer at Sant'Orsola Hospital in Bologna and with FACE Association with newborns, toddlers and children suffering from autism, cognitive impairment, rare diseases and physical malformations. For four months, in 2019, I have also worked on the weekends as a Personal Assistant on a domiciliary setting with an autistic boy aged 11 in Fulborn.
From 2021 to 2022 I have been working as an Italian tutor to three children in a private setting in Royston.
I have recently worked on flexible hours in Nurseries, mainly in Cambourne area and in Eddington.
In 2023 I worked as a babysitter with a family in upper Cambourne, on a couple of flexible evenings, and sometimes on Sunday afternoon, also helping with cooking, ironing and tidying up.
From April to August 2025 I trained wirh my daughter's childminder to be an assistant childminder.
My Qualifications
Master Degree for teaching italian as a second language to foreign students
Bachelor Degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature (English and Chinese) from Bologna University
5 year Diploma in Education from Laura Bassi High School in Bologna
My Availability
Available to consider and discuss about temporary, or long term babysitting positions in Cambourne, and especially West Cambourne.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
I am more than happy to offer an additional and regular help as a Nanny housekeeper/household help, offering my support when needed with ironing, cooking healthy meals, cleaning and tidying up. In this case I will kindly ask for 14 pounds per hour.

Luana looked after my three young children (3, 5, 7) one day/week for most of a year. She was always brilliant with communication and punctuality and provided stimulating and caring childcare for the children. I specifically requested that she teach the children her mother-tongue, Italian, which she gladly did. It was a pleasure knowing Luana and we looked forward to her visit weekly.
