Hello, my name is Miranda and I live alone with my daughter who is 9 in September. She attends Eastwood Primary school.
I consider my home to be a healthy fun and safe environment to be in.
I like to provide a childcare setting that may feel like a home from home service as I would like the child to feel welcome and comfortable in my home as if it were their own.
I registered with Ofsted whilst 5 months pregnant and have completed all relevant training and experience needed to set up my own business. I am very passionate about working with children and their parents and aim to provide excellent childcare at all times.
I started my childcare working in a primary school as a classroom assistant when I was on placement for my childcare level 2 course in 1995. I also have experience working in a private nursery in London in 2000 and was in charge of the toddler room . I spent 2 lovely years there and then left to be a nanny to 2 boys from the class. I had the boys for 3 years and then went traveling for a while.
I came back and then worked for my local authority as a play worker. I worked and gained valuable experience in most of the play centers adventure playgrounds and 1'o'clock clubs covering all ages and backgrounds.
I have looked after a baby boy from the age of 3 months to a year old and most recently I had a baby in my care who was a year and a half old.. His mum has left me a lovely reference which I am happy to show on request.
Being a single mother I consider myself to be experienced with babies and children with a range of different ages I welcome all ages.
I have 13 years experience caring for a young lady who was born blind and with learning difficulties. she is now 23 and living at a college in Exeter.
I am very passionate about working with children and supporting their families in any way that I can. I am able to look after children with additional needs and am able to provide a safe ,fun and healthy environment for them to be in.

Miranda looked after our children for several years. They loved spending time with her. They felt very comfortable in her home and Miranda always treated them like part of her family.
