I have been a childminder for over ten years and live alone with my nine year old daughter.
I live close to the sea and Belfair's woods which is great for days out and outdoor activities.
I enjoy keeping fit, music and cooking.
I like to provide a caring and nurturing environment for the children and think it's important to also build relationships with the children's families/carers.
I started my childcare working in a primary school as a classroom assistant when I was on placement for my childcare level 2 course in 1995. I have experience working in a private nursery in London in 2000 and whilst there, I was in charge of the toddler room . I spent two years at this nursery and then left to work as a nanny to two boys from the class. I looked after the boys for three years and then went traveling as sabbatical.
When I returned I then worked for the local authority as a play worker. I have worked and gained extensive and valuable experience in play centres, adventure playgrounds and 1'o'clock clubs covering all ages and backgrounds.
I have experience looking after young babies from the age of three months, up to a year old and older, and I currently care for a two year old boy. I can provide references upon on request.
Most of my 13 years experience has been caring for a child born blind and with learning difficulties from the age of 10 who I am still in contact with today. She is now 23 and living at a college in Exeter.
I am very passionate about working with children and supporting their families in any way that I can. I am able to look after children with additional needs and am able to provide a safe, fun and healthy environment for them grow and develop. I am always looking for my next opportunity to support parents and children in a loving family environment.

Miranda looked after our children for several years. They loved spending time with her. They felt very comfortable in her home and Miranda always treated them like part of her family.
