My Summary
About Me
I am a registered Childminder and have over 15 years experience working, caring for and supporting children.
This includes working in Nurseries in the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as key stages 1 and 2. I have a passion for children and enjoy watching them grow and develop. I am compassionate, kind, and fair. Children are well taken care of and enjoy having fun in my setting with plenty of games and learning through play.
I believe it is important for children to be confident and independent in their learning whilst playing so allow child-led play as well as structured activities on a daily basis to encourage learning and development in all areas of the EYFS. Having raised 4 children of my own; I understand the importance of children receiving home from home childcare and believe that they should be made to feel at home and allowed to be creative, exploring and inquisitive.
I offer childcare to children from 3months -11 years old. My aim is to support parents with their children in and around my community.
I plan lots of fun activities each day both indoors and out, there are a variety of vibrant toys, games, and apparatus in my setting for children of varied ages everthing is accessible for children and prepared with the children's interest at heart.' Every child matters' and the EYFS is at the forefront of my mind to cover the learning and development needs of every child under 5.
I also enjoy teaming up and working with parents, other childminders and other outside agencies to ensure that Equal opportunities are given to all the children in my care.
My Experience
During the time that I have been working with children, I have worked in many settings including being an assistant childminder, a Teaching Assistant/Nursery assistant, playworker and one to one support worker; working in both nurseries and schools. Other job roles have included an after-school club play leader and lunchtime supervisor. I have experience working with children from 0-11 years.
Qualifications include first aid and safeguarding, therfore, I have good knowledge of how to apply first aid in case of an emergency.

Sue is a brilliant childminder who helped me on the transition from maternity leave to fully working. She had lots of food ideas for my little baby and is an experienced hand at looking after babies. What stood out to me is her flexibility to accommodate my evolving work hours and the care she took to listen to any of the natural cares and concerns with handing over child care. Altogether a brilliant childminder and definitely recommend.
I found this lovely lady last year mid May. She was such a lovely lady.amazing first impression. I immediately took her. She looked after my daughter since. I have never been so comfortable and at peace with a childminder as i did with Sue. My daughter became so fond of her. Her family was so good to my daughter and respectful to me. She gladly did picks up and drop off sometimes. Her home was clean, child friendly set up and very welcoming environment. Spacious backyard that my daughter enjoyed the whole summer. Her cooking was great and sue accommodated my daughters special diet and engaged her in decision making during meals and baking. Communication with Sue was consistent, clear and she kept her word. She always claried with me of any information regarding my daughter.if i was running late for pick up she was understanding and maintained update on my daughter on a frequent basis. I would glady say this lady was God sent and the best childminder i have had in years. You will not be disappointed. Thankyou Sue. My daughter enjoys very much when she is under your care. I highly recommend this lady.
