About Me

I was graded Good at my last inspection & have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 1999 ,during this time I have nurtured & cared for many children from babies to seeing them off to school & then lucky enough to keep in touch by providing holiday care for them during the school holidays.

My curriculum is to facilitate learning largely ‘in the moment’ always building on children’s interests, enabling curiosity in a stimulating environment where they feel the freedom to extend their own play by accessing interesting resources & experiences every day.

A child’s individual learning style & abilities are always considered & activities adapted so that every child has the same opportunities.

The seasons provide a familiar focus to build knowledge & be curious about the changes that happen in their natural world. An opportunity to spend time out in the natural environment every day on our forest outings enables children with the freedom to explore those changes first hand, challenge their own body limits, build their physical health & develop a lasting love of nature.

Be able to manage their emotions and behaviour in a developmental appropriate manner.
To be independent with their self-care skills.
Feel settled& secure in my setting, to feel part of the extended family.
Develop a sense of morality, of what is right and what is wrong.

My ultimate aim is to support each child to be as ‘school-ready’ as they can be by encouraging independence & responsibilities so that children are able to build self-resilience as they feel they have some control of their little lives, this in turn promotes confidence & self-esteem also a sense of importance & belonging. This also helps develop their own levels of self-awareness & sensitivity towards others so teaching them to help , consider others & be kind.
