About Me

My name is Bobbi and I'm a registered childminder with an MA in Early Years Education. My little setting operates from a purpose-built garden playroom which backs onto St Anne’s park and has free flow to our garden.

'Bobbi's Explorers' follows the Early Years Foundation Stage but also takes inspiration from Montessori, Reggio Emilia and the Forest School Approach. There is a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and child-led play, a rights based approach and loving pedagogy. The children spend their days in a beautiful play-inpired space and in nature - exploring the nearby forests and playing in the garden, engaging in process art and music, following their own interests and ideas.

My deep understanding of teaching, how young children learn and child development means I am able to support children in having the richest play experiences possible. I see young children as strong and competent, no matter what their age, making the greatest effort to genuinely listen to them and respect and respond to their voice. My aim is to provide children with love, challenge and adventure.

My Experience

I have a background in childcare, teaching under fives play, music and art, and have also worked as a practitioner at a forest school nursery.

My Qualifications

I have an MA in Early Years Education, am a trained early years music teacher and trained in forest school methods.

My Availability

I am open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Currently no availability.
